Here's a couple of my '09 Cooper after my buddy and I spent about seven hours this past weekend putting on the new stripe. Have a black mesh JCW upper grille on order with the dealer, hope to have it in next week!

I also dig it LittleBlueBeast It's a tasteful combination of blue, white, and black going on. I've seen lots of blue / black with blacked out chrome, but not too many blue / whites. The tinted taillights are a nice touch as well. Your car looks light in the front, and dark in the back - not sure if that was what you were going for but I think it's a cool look. Have you thought about blacking out just your rear emblem?

Check this out LittleBlueBeast, I'm going to be ordering the full kit pretty soon, all the chrome is driving me nuts. You have to buy the sticker separate but a buddy of mine has one and it looks pretty legit.

Looking good! Bold man (like me) and skipped the sunroof! You planning to track the car at all? You have some serious rubber, wheels and suspension already!

No matter what, great looking car!

Sweet ride, just get rid of the orange and red arches lens reflectors and make them clear and it will look super clean

Thanks Adam. My track & autocross days (few that they were) are probably behind me. I also have a Z4 M Coupe that I'd like to track some day at PIR with the local BMW chapter, and would probably do that before tracking the Mini. I've tracked a few of my past VWs at Spring Mountain in Pahrump, NV in the past and would love to take either car out there, it's an awesome venue.

Skipping the sunroof was an easy call, here in the desert. It was already 110 today, and we're 2 weeks away from the start of summer (!!). A massive sunroof just isn't a good thing out here for about 4-5 months out of the year. Plus I didn't want that extra weight up top, and wanted a light-colored lid, hence Pepper White was an easy and practical choice too.

As for the suspension, I like it but I'm not crazy about it. It's a quantum leap in daily driver comfort, compared to the crummy stock "sports" suspension setup and runflats, but I find it to be a bit on the soft side and handling is not as good as I expected from this setup. I might move to NM springs & Bilstein Sports eventually, which I think would produce better (for my tastes anyways) results. I'm also not crazy about the "raked" look that this kit (H&R touring cup) provides with a less aggressive drop at the rear than front. But it's a great value and completely practical for daily driver duty.

Thanks for the info. I agree on the roof choice from both side (heat and weight) I took one out of an 08 to repaint the roof and I was AMAZED how heavy it is!

On the suspension, you might skip the NM and Bilstein and go to H&R Coilovers (Sport or RSS) to get a firmer setting and fine tune the ride height. I have used both on my MINI's so if you have any questions, I can answer em via e-mail or PM. Happy to help!

One more from me, with the JCW upper grille I fitted today. I never really had a problem with the chrome, but I think this is a much nicer look!

Neat lookin' MINI Mike ! Just in case you weren't already aware, that JCW grill also provides increased air flow to the Rad! I went with the black on mine as I'm one ot those minimum bling types LoL. BTW, what's that wet looking stuff on the hood? Don't see that very often in these parts.
