Was going to say I kinda miss that. But then again, I don't think I do.
Saw lots of it when I lived in Nebraska. Only problem with that place is along with the snow we always seemed to have 40 mph winds.

Of course, what the dealer charges for those bits of plastic is pretty insane as well. I'm a little shocked they didn't offer to install them for free.
If that's the only dealership nearby, I'd have a talk with the service manager.

should check out my thread about removing these parts of the car ... heres the link https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ior-parts.html

i am real sorry you paid 100 an hour for not even a 5 minute job everyone makes it seem longer than it is ... my side scuttles were off and new ones on in under 3 minutes ill put money on it try and find a mechanic in your area that works on minis ...

Nice pictures super! Have you every thought of using that Black chrome paint on your xenons? I think it would accent the crap out of your wheels.

btw looks great as is

Thanks, I saw a thread recently about the black chrome, it looks good and I thought about it, but then I'd have to do something about these too so that they would match:

I'm thinking about using it on the chrome belt line though since the vinyl tape starts to look aged and needs to be replaced.

Thanks, I love how the RBs look on the MINI. Kind of a retro thing.

If you did the black chrome on the headlights you could just do a little tint on the tails.

Well I posted these in the JCW forum, but it's kind of dead in there, so....

I wasn't sure about the candy red interior when I bought it, but one spin around the block was enough to make me forget about any cosmetic shortcomings. The look has grown on me and I love it anyway now, so all good!

I'm running the KW V2 with the TSW springs, with HiSport competition sway bar and H-Sport control arms in the back and Vorshlag camber plates up front. Got them from Way Motor Works. Great suspension for both street and track.

Hmm, that's a thought. Has anyone used the back chrome paint on a Joey mod before? I'm wondering if it could hold up to the heat generated by the Xenons.

I bet you could just find a high heat black and mix it with a high heat clear. I know a guy who tints taillights and he mixes black and clear paint together and it works as a tint

Definitely something to keep in mind. Sounds like it would look pretty good. I'll do some research on it.

After I got out of class last Friday morning, I took a little drive.

First one is somewhere out in Sonoma or Marin County (CA) out by some farm. No clue where it was other than that. I ended up out at Doran Beach in Bodega Bay (second pic). Was a beautiful day!

I also put my track map stickers on, I found a site that has all the tracks I've driven in all the same sizes.

(L to R: Infineon, Reno-Fernley, Miller Motorsports, Thunderhill, Laguna, Spring Mountain, Buttonwillow)

Nice pics! I found that site too and about to order some of those myself.
Are yours the 2" or the 4" size decals?

You've driven some really nice tracks.

Thanks! Those are the 2" ones. I had a few larger sized ones (4"-ish) lying around and I placed them just to see. They were a little to big for the car in my opinion. I was looking for a more subtle look, so I went with the 2" silver colored ones. They match very well!
