hcalvarez - nice ride. Not too much bling but nice and smooth.
Same look I'm going for, more of a clean but smooth look.

It use to be calvinora's ride..Lucky enough to purchase it with all the mods he did. But planning on putting my personal touches to it. Might go black with the roof and mirros

I am reading this post 5 years after but just ordered ASA AR1's last and shipped today with tires mounted from TireRack. They look great on your car! I am hoping for the same result with mine. I will be using my stock wheels and a pair of winter tires for my unpredictable winters in Indiana.

Lowered on German H&R springs with 1 turn of the rear dead-coils removed for a balanced stance. Wheels are 18" ASA AR1's. Love it!

do the b-specs start out with a sunroof and replace it with some sheet metal? wouldn't it be easier to give them one sans sunroof to begin with?

Good question... Actually, any '07-'12 Cooper is acceptable for B-Spec use, and the drivers provide their own cars, to if you find one or have one that has a sunroof, you can use it. I don't think any of the other MINIs out here have/had sunroofs, but there are 2 brand new Coopers, one '11 (the one shown), and one pre-facelift (pre-'11... not sure what year).

Here are a few of my MINI. That's a 10 foot kayak, and I absolutely love the way it looks up there. Oh, and impromptu rallying is a whole lot of fun also.

It does look great up there!!
One question...is that the OEM MINI Kayak Carrier?

Hoping to take Kayaking Lessons this Summer, rent them 'til we are ready to fully commit...any recomendations??

OEM rack, but just standard Thule kayak carrier (with longer bolts to clear the large MINI rack.)
As far as getting on the water... I went once in a friends kayak, no lessons, and enjoyed it. Then just went to amazon to see if they had anything with prime shipping and bought this kayak http://amzn.to/IClsCU and paddles with free shipping and no tax. The only thing I can say about getting used to the water, is don't jump into the deepened. Start with calm water and get a feel for how much you can roll without tipping, odds are it's more than you would think.
