My soon to be arriving Red MCS is Bloody Laney.

Partially because my best friend Elaine loves red, and I told her I'd name my first red car after her. I took it as a sign that Bloody Laney also started production on Friday the 13th.

And DC allows me to get the License Plate "BLUDY L" (which of course can also interpretted as 'bloody hell'). DC had rejected as inappropriate my last two license plate requests 3M 3TI8 (which I had in Maryland) and 3M TA3.

I have not yet ordered mine (too much travelling for work these days:impatient) but when I do get it I will name it Bídeach, which is the Irish Gaelic word for tiny. I am also contemplating putting an Irish harp on the roof as was suggested to me in another post.

Our MCS is named Speedy. When we took our first test drive in the R56, my wife said "this feels quicker than our 03 MCS". Of course, my butt dyno thought so too
I just happened to be wearing my favorite watch (Omega Speedmaster) during the drive, so the choice was easy

I always figured our new arrival was going to be Zippeee! (3 e's and an exclamation mark required). Rhymes with Yippee! I don't know why--just seemed to be a natural.

My car's name is "Xiao Zhui Feng" which is Chinese that loosely translated to "mini motoring" or “driving your car to try and catch the wind”

I selected that because I spent the last year + working in china. As some of the week 13 guys know, I'm in China now and my poor car is sitting at the dealer lot waiting for me to return next month :-(

It took me a while to come up with name.
I wanted something that had to do with New Orleans in it and so I decided for a couple of reasons to go with Stormy. First stormy is the name of a Bourbon Street, um, entertainer from the 50s or 60s I think. Secondly the color of my MINI is lightning blue/ black so the color fit the word. And lastly, I've definitely had a good bit of experience with storms living in NOLA.

Ah, but one of the requirements of the Owner's Lounge (read the fine print) is that we name our first-born MINI!

Well I've got a name for my MINI, and it's a good one, but it's a private "pet" name that I'll not share.

I've always like the name 'Edgar.' It comes from A) one of my favortite characters in the greatest videogame ever, Edgar Figaro, and B) I'm a large fan of Edgar Allan Poe's writting. Figaro was a skirt-chaser (someing I know for a fact that Edgar and I will be doing), and Poe's roll in the Romantic Movement I've always enjoyed.

And it sounds like a good British name.

This is a topic that comes up on a regular basis.

Personally I don’t have a name for mine, a personal plate yes, but not a name for the MINI itself.

But I think if someone wishes a name for their MINI I would think it would come from their own heart and not some stranger recommending one for them.

I only just settled on a name for my MINI (my 4th)... I picked names for the previous 3 but never really liked the names I chose TBH..... ('HAL' after 2001; 'FELIX' after the cat; 'HYPER' well that one you can guess..) none of them really actually clicked with me tho.

I've dubbed this one "Blacktop" (car can be seen in sig) the personal plate is my "official" MINI motoring ID, and the place where I take a spring vacation every year!! (ROAD129) 1 more week til I leave for it...

Hi - Newbie here..... I'm going to name mine MILES - hope to put many miles on MINI Miles . Miles was 1 mo. old yesterday! He is an 07 MC - lightning blue/white/stripes w sunroof, automatic, cold weather & the s-winder wheels off an MCS cause I just liked them better. Only have 750 miles on Miles - but they've been the most fun I've had on 4 wheels!!!!!!!!!

Mine was originally to be dubbed "Sarge" (short for Sgt. Pepper, but that's a long story). Turns out it went into production Friday the 13th, so Freddy seemed like a natural choice.
