I ordered one of the cars involved in the MFSW mixup and then reordered. I was told that the reordered car will arrive in early May. Today I spoke to my MA and was told that my car will arrive by March 30. Happy me.

My happiness was increased when told that this dealer does not jack up the price of the car. The price is what it says on the original order. The first car I ordered, the one without the MFSW will arrive about 10 days before the second car with the correct steering wheel. I was mildly surprised, having assumed that the car would be kept in England until an order with matching specs was received, or possibly, that it would be modified in some way and sold. Anyhow, if anyone would like a nice Yellow MCS with a white roof and all of the sport options minus sun roof it will be ready for you at Sandia Mini in Albuquerque.

graphicjoe, I wonder why you were told to expect your reordered car in May. I was also affected by the MSFW mixup and reordered in the 1st week of Feb and was told to expect my car around March 10.

And I'm still expecting Mini to make it up to me - perhaps get the MFSW at no charge. My MA is optimistic that it could happen.

 

I expect my reorder to come around the end of March. (I switched from MCa to MC manual which was a 3/07 availability). Don't expect anything from mini. Still hoping, but not expecting.
