Webb Motorsports R56 finally here!

I stopped by the dealer tonight to see the car - it isn't ready for delivery, but I plan on picking it up tomorrow!

The interior is unbelievable - I really like the combo. I also really like the red/black with no stripes.

I will be posting pics shortly, but I am excited to finally get it here and be able to fit pieces .

Don't you have it? I thought I remember putting the throttle body and header on that beast!

I had a trip most of this week, so I haven't been around. I tried to catch up a bit today, and I am gone again Sunday. I have time off in a stretch on the 10th through the 14th (from flying for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about).

newbs - . I am really going to try to keep it on the street!

It is a Lounge Leather interior in black, with the Rooster Red colorline, Piano Black dash, and Anthracite headliner. I love it!

Stay tuned...

I'll tell you what I have planned:

Extreme rear swaybar
WMS coilovers/droplinks
Big brakes of some sort
Turbo back exhaust
SportBox RAF
ECU tune
Team Dynamics wheels (black)
Yokohama Advan tires
Smoothed and painted arches - maybe the JCW aerokit

I will also look at the intercooler and the manifold, then the cylinder head. I can't get too crazy until the clutch manufacturers catch up.

What I have ordered - LSD, Sport suspension, the interior listed above, and I think that's it. Chile Red/Black roof and mirrors (evil twin of the Chile Red/White roof and mirrors on the Mule).

RandyBMC...

I believe your Mini was on the Asian Emperor...

anyways, my mini was on there too... and it was being trucked to San Jose, California. Now, the thing that gets me is that you'll be able to get your car (in Denver) while I am unhappily waiting (since 2/27/07... the day my car was supposed to be over here) for my car over here in northern California.

I don't know how many other northern California owners have to wait for their car that has arrived on 02/20-21/07 and still hasn't got it today (they say I'm scheduled to pick it up 03/05/07).... but I think this is friggin' ridiculous. Any other people on the same boat as me?

I really can't believe the amount of time it's taking to prepare a car of mine that has been on US shores for almost 2 weeks now with no arrival as of yet... wow Mini.

Mine was probably in a red truck!

I understand how you are frustated though - I was watching all of the guys on the east coast get theirs with build dates weeks after ours.

It will all be over soon!

I know - the interior may be up for sale at some point, but I really like the way it looks. Maybe I will just leather wrap the roll cage .

I am a fan of both the R53 and the R56. I think they both have something to offer that no other cars on the market do. I also like the Classic Mini !

Some pics - think of them as "before" shots .

Picking it up... wish I had that cover!

The unveiling!

That slick interior I keep talking about!

Note the non-MFSW .

Won't look like that very long!

At home...

Infamous non-MFSW Sport Leather...

Bigger, but still not big enough!

Cool aero fillet - still gets plenty dirty on the boot though!

Controversial design element.

Non-functional hood scoop (for now).

Just asking for it!

I'll take what's behind that door!

Gotta love that mag chloride!

Stay tuned for disassembly .

Randy

That's funny - was really close to getting all black! Good taste...

Yeah - that's the "other" test mule for WMS. It is a hot rod too - 305hp. Turbo (GT28RS), intercooler, engine management, fuel injectors, tubular manifold, downpipe, high flow cat, trick custom exhaust, Bosch diverter valve, trick ram air intake, suspension stuff and custom built Team Dynamics wheels with Toyo RA1s (my street tires).

Thanks guys!

A couple other pics for the guys who like the orange car:

We hot rod these too if anyone happens to have one. I am one of the only guys who can do the '06 and later Lotus ECU... I just finished up a turbo kit on an Elise Sport - one of only 50 made! My hands shook the whole way through the install .
