Tire question

I keep hearing about winter tires and then putting on the summer tires. I live in California with no snow, little rain especially this year. I will be driving a lot for work in an 07 MCS and what do you recommend as the tire. All season or performance. There will be no racing just everyday driving and then some.

Thanks as always.

For overall economy on normal everyday driving, Go for the all weather, they last longer.

I'm in the Bay Area, and am getting all season because they last longer (possibly 10-15K more miles) and are more versatile. So I can take it to the snow if I want. If you're not doing high performance driving all season should be very satisfactory. But if you want a high performance tire and aren't concerned about lower tire life, then I don't think there will be much downside - just drive more carefully when conditions are bad.

Particularly living in California, get all weather. It doesn't rain often and because of that when it does the streets get pretty slick. I've travelled there enough to know.

I live in Co. so we have a little snow, some occassional down pour's, hot dry summer's. Can't beat all season's. I drive 100 miles per day as a daily driver in excess of 75 miles per hour. The car is not tracked, is mod moded, and driven as it should be. I will soon have 60,000 miles and have P. Zero , Nero MS (All Season), 215x 40 x 17. This set will get 31,000. It's a quite, performer!
