In Alabama I think 32% window tint is legally the darkest I can get. I had the tint guy to look at my truck windows (thinking I might get whatever % was on them. He said, that's about 20%. Oops....oh well.....

If I get stripes, I'll probably order the factory black with the white border. The more I look at the car, though, I think it might be more distinctive without them. We'll see...

The 35% tint looks good.... both from the inside looking out and from the outside. I don't think I'd want it any darker. Seems to be just the right amount.

Know what you mean about the stripes... I figure I'll think on it for awhile. Have already spent a grand without even trying so am going to try to rein myself in for the next few months anyway. I think I need a Mini allowance.

As for our trip...we left San Antonio this morning, and now sitting in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Tomorrow eve we should be in Santa Fe. Having a blast!

That would explain the hearing loss, lack of reading vision, gray hair and general loss of balance?

Speaking of loss of balance...where are all the 7-Elevens down here? In Winnipeg, we have one on every street corner. Down here, there's one only in every major city.

Mmm slurpees... that brings back memories. Haven't had one in years. These days if I drink something slushy it usually has coffee in it.

Um, I think you're older. Sandia Peak is in Albuquerque...not Santa Fe. We didn't go up because we spent too much time in Santa Fe looking for Sandia Peak. Now I'm standin on a corner in Winslow Arizona. And you know what? It's such a fine sight to see.

CJ...I'll be stomping through your neck of the woods tomorrow. I'll start with the Meteor Crater in Winslow and then working toward that big canyon thing....See y'all soon.

ok...slight change. For the last few days, from Winslow, to Flagstaff, to Phoenix (I wave at all cars just in case CJ), to Kingman, to Vegas...3 days and nights in Vegas, to Williams, AZ...off to Canyon tomorrow....a little backward, but it still works.

I have 1 week left to get back home...takin my time!!!

That's ok. I didn't know I was going to make it down there either! Most of the route on this trip depends on which way the pen points after we spin it! One week, we drove over the same highway 10 times...back and forth!

Just passed 600 mile mark on Buster and am thoroughly enjoying my first MINI!! Talked to tint shop this morning trying to get an appointment and have not decided whether or not to add stripes yet. Did get a nice container of candy from MINI of Nashville a few days ago!
