Wheeee...this car is fun in the twisties! It hugs the road sooo much. Took it to my step daughters tonight, and her beau and her drove it around the block....now they have tattoos imprinted on THEIR faces too!

Bubbles definitely gets shocked looks when you pull up to people! This is the first car I've owned that didn't immediately fit me, but I am "morphing" to fit the car. I spent all night trying to get used to the drivers seat, steering wheel and clutch/shift. I still don't even know what it looks like on the outside, but it seems like there's a surprise around every discovery.

Ok...where did everyone go? MUSE? Where's your other pictures? Is everyone out driving? I don't blame you, but I'm looking for my group. Where are my brothers and sisters from another mother?

They all seem to have disappeared. Probably out motoring about.

You need help with your sig pic to add the tag in?

Romi and I have been trying to have some fun, but the weather reports have been putting and end to it. Yesterday, it was absolutely beautiful all day, but the weather guys kept saying "strong chance of hail...". SO I KEPT ROMI IN THE GARAGE ALL DAY LONG!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

Yah Skuzz...I can't figure out how to get both the pic and the NFR Badge on...when I try, it's either one or the other...and I too need to get a little more creative with it. When the weather's grounded Bubbles & Me, I'll spend a little time working on it.

You just need to make them one pic is all. Like I did. Just keep the dimensions 500x100 pixels, or less. If you have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, or Gimp, it is a piece of cake.

Hola, I have returned to the looney bin! And am happy to be reunited with Mia. She had fun in the country for the week camping in the in laws garage.

Belated welcome and congrats to Twings! Pics?

Dennis, she's a beauuuuut! Did you conform to all of her curves yet? I'll be you got it just perfect and then you were so nice and let someone else touch her and now your perfect seating position is mucked up. Happens every day for me! I guess electronic memory would be nice.
I love the name! Was there a derivation, or just what struck you?

Oh yea, thanks for the siggy Skuzz! I'll do that now.

Rooandren; I forgot you took your holiday! (without the baby!) Skuzzy and I have been soooo bored that we've even talked about lint in the cup holders!

Bubbles comes from a Canadian TV show, Trailer Park Boys. Bubbles lives in a shed on the trailer park and has super thick glasses with big googly eyes....that's the first thing I thought of when I saw the headlights! So, Bubbles it became!!!

I am glad you brought up the vital topic of cup holder lint! I have left the ash tray in one of the holders not only because it is a handy coin holder, but makes one less place that my Cool Ranch Doritos crumbs will accumulate. Kidding! I only eat those in bed. (Wow, I just made myself puke a little in my mouth. I can scarcely think of anything more vile.)

But on the crumby note, I finally got the carpet mats and put those in. They're a tad nicer than the rubber, but jeez the black gets dirty. Apparently I've never owned black carpet mats. I kinda' like the rubber, but it seems out of place, this isn't a Jeep. I wonder what other mats are available that fit?

Oh, my ashtray is an excellent cell phone holder.

I have the carpet mats also and really like them. Nice how they velcro down in place. Dunt(tm) seem to get all that dirty to me. I figure something on the floor is going to catch all the stuff from my feet, might as well be carpet. At least the dirt will not slide up under the seat.

Death to cup holder lint!!

!!!The Nightfire Red Cup Holder Lint Death Squad!!!

Mmm, I need more help for that new club name. I'll go through old posts tomorrow and see what we've got. It looks like I can edit the title of this thread, so we won't lose our neurotic status!

NFR in MCS? Any info?

Hey all. A soon-to-be MINI owner here. My girlfriend have been watching this color and all of its related colors for years (literally). Absolutely in love with it. We went to the dealership this past weekend to drive and possibly order. Then we drove the MCS. No offense or anything, we like both cars. We are coming from a Honda CRX which has (still does) tons of zip and now want the MCS.

Does anyone have any rumors or info on whether there are plans for this perfect, lovely color to be made avail on the MCS?

Cheers. Nice cars. All of them. Love the NFR and hope to be a member some day!

Mini has staunchly stated that NFR will not be available on the MCS. That does not mean it may not be made available on another year model. but, historically, they have not done that either.

No offense taken. Mini is all about getting what YOU want. Happy motoring when you decide and order what you want.

Aonach, welcome to NAM! Good luck in finding the perfect MINI for you. To repeat what Skuzzy said, there have always been colors that are specific to the MC or MCS. To my knowledge the colors have never been expanded to the other. If you'd like unsolicited opinions, my fav MCS specific combo is dark silver with the red leather seats.

Pepper White/Black with Redwood Lounge is hard to beat too.

Regardless of the color, lint ***** are still the nemesis of all that would be clean!!

Hey, has anybody heard from Muse, Minimobile, Kimmc or Twings? I haven't even seen any of Twings' pics of the NRF/W yet? Where did all the cowboys/girls go?

Thanks

Thanks for all of hte suggestions and help. I figure if I put enough inquiries out there maybe they will listen up and help us indecisive future MINI owners. Trust me, I have emailed all the dealerships within 150mi and the MINI group itself! Looks like there are no plans to move colors around at this point.

I think we are torn btw Chili Red and the PW, both with black tops. PW/B is definately classy, but somehow it just doesnt strike us as a MINI color. We get excited about MINIs with color, like your NFR. PW/B strikes us as one take to a fancy dinner party or something.

Maybe we will just spoil ourselves and get all of the options we want. Then there is the waiting until the 2008 model for the rumored changes. This is a bit like computers: you can always play the wait game for the next avail option only to find out there is another option down the road.

Argghhh! Cheers, Aonach

You can't really go wrong with color. Have a blast choosing all the options! If you want color, take the plunge and get a hot orange cabrio! I was tempted!

I do love the orange on the cabrio but cant do a convertible. Here in the Deep South, the mosquitos will kill us. My wife is pretty allergic to them and attracts them like flies on you know what!

Decisions decisions.
