Haaaapy V-Day NFRs!!!
One question, mostly for the Skuzzmeister perhaps. First of all, as a whiny update, I had the car to the body shop for the 4th separate time as there was a small hose leak that meant the car was barely getting any heat. Fortunately that was fixed quick.
Now the question, which I can't find a sufficient answer for anywhere. Ever since I got it back, an indicator light comes on at start-up that there is a lamp failure. The body shop say they don't have the computer whoozieswhatsists to reset it. As far as I have been able to tell/experiement with, you can't reset/turn off the indicator with the standard OBC stalk-button pokings.
I called the dealer service dept. to ask if I could do it, or if they had to reset it, he said there could be a whole software problem and I need to bring it in. Does this sound reasonable? blah!

So I learned what dedication meant this weekend. I managed to slice the back of my hand open, and not just the insane fear of needles kept me from going to the dr, but I ddin't want to risk dripping blood in Rosey! super glued that baby shut. now no threat of blood in the car. whew- all is safe, kinda

Jeez, all I ever do is complain anymore when I come by----Mia is at MINI now to get that lamp indicator reset--turns out the parking brake lights weren't wired correctly by the body shop! Aye carumba.
But my crush in the sales department helped me out--as the work wasn't done at MINI, they'd have to charge me or bring it back to the dang shop--but my crush said she'd pick up the tab.
The upside, is I saw Clubmans in the showroom, including an NFR with silver top! Judgmental verdict:not for me at all--those C-pillars are awwwful. And the amount of extra space is very negligible.
And of course congrats to RDRIDR!!!! PICS!!!

ahhhh- it's nice to see I'm not the only one who get's crushes on the people in the srevice dept... That was the silver lining to the black cloud that was my old car. The cute service guy I could flirt with every time I was in there, which was usually once a month. Too bad I never got up the nerve to leap across teh counter at him
