R56 Week 13 Production Group - What Luck!
I just talked to ASK MINI and they said my car would start production tomorrow with a completion date of March 27. He didn't tell me what week this is. From looking at other posts I think it is lucky Week 13. Anyone else in this group? Do they skip week 13 like hotels don't have 13th floors?

Hi. What a great place to make your first post. Tell us about your MINI. What does it look like and when did you order it?
I'm a bit confused about how all of these weeks work. The automated system definitely lags behind what the real people know, and the owner's lounge seems to be even further behind. I've never been told what week I'm in, but my car went into production today and is scheduled to be completed on March 27. I think this is week 13.
Hope that your car is also being made now.

The production week is the week it is scheduled to start build (production). When you look at the data on BMW's extranet, it will show in the dates/quote section:
PW Dealer: (production week planned)
PW AG: ("AG" is a German abbreviation for Aktiengesellschaft, which translates to "Corporation". So that's the production week BMW itself is tracking which is hopefully the same as PW Dealer).
DW exp: (Delivery Week expected - the week it is expected to be finished and offered for delivery from the factory. NOT the week it is delivered to the customer).
production date: estimated completion date
status-160-date: (160 code is "released to distribution")
collection day: (day you pick it up)
collection week: (week you pick it up)
Also, in the "global data" section, you will find: "status:", which will list the current production code, and the date of that code.
My dealer has access to the BMW extranet, and I get a printout of the screen from them. I don't know if U.S. dealers have the same access, but I would think so. MINI USA obviously does.

After going back and forth between options, I've gone the performance route with my MCS:
Laser Blue/White
Bonnet Stripes
Cold Weather Pkg (a must in the North East)
Sports Pkg
LSD
Sports Susp.
Rear Fogs
White Indicators
Brushed Aluminum Interior
Leather MFSW
ASK-MINI's automated system still shows unconfirmed production date -- but a rep told me I'm in Week 13 so hopefully things will update soon!

You really think I should be booted to week 12???? I'm enjoying week 13 so much. Everyone in week 12 seems to be talking about their cars being done by March 20. Mine isn't scheduled for completion until a week later on the 27th. Dneal is in week 12 and his car will be done today or tomorrow.

After looking through week 12 (everyone's almost on a boat) and week 14 they aren't in production yet, I think I'll stick here in lucky week 13. I'm going to go with the logic that week 13 begins March 26 and my car is scheduled to be completed on March 27. That makes it about halfway through the process now.

First time posting, long time reader. With that said please make room week 13, we have another mini slated to finish production on March 27
The NAM community, Owners Lounge, and Ask Mini will definitely stall my productivity for the next 4 weeks (very hopeful of early delivery) but it shall make that delivery all the more sweet!

Thanks Jyarrow, your mini looks quite nice too! I am a little envious of the rooser red and hifi, but I have a very jumpy dog that likes to destroy leather and my funds ran out for the sound upgrade. Maybe down the road...
Having to travel to Minneapolis, I believe it ships to New Jersey but don't quote me on that. Does that sound correct?

From what I've learned on these boards (which I've spent way too much time on since ordering this car), they main ports are New Jersey, Charleston, and California. Seems like NJ would make sense before a ride to MN.
As for my car - we're getting the cloth seats. Couldn't spring for the leather upgrade. But I work in the music business so I can justify the Hi Fi.
They certainly can't get here fast enough.
