Here's the definition per Wikipedia:
"Bling-bling" (usually shortened to simply "bling") is a hip hop slang term which refers to expensive jewelry and other accoutrements, and also to a lifestyle built around excess spending and ostentation. In its essence, the term refers to the exterior manifestation of one's interior state of character, normally displayed through various forms of visual stimuli.
One of the fun things about MINIs is the incredibly different ways that they can be personalized. What sucks to one person may be perfection to another.

For that to work visually, there needs to be some matching gold elsewhere on the car. Perhaps gold metalflake bonnet stripes with black edging, gold mirror caps, or something. To really do it right, take all the chrome off and have it stripped and gold plated.
However, gold would look much better with black paint.

I haven't looked a PW carefully in person, is it a warm white? If it is a neutral or cold white, you would need some more bronze somewhere on the vehicle to complement the bronze. Even if it is a warm white, some complementary bronze accessories would be good, such as bronze mirror caps.

Because bronze is darker than gold, it would probably look better with white.

Gold FTW! nobody ever knocks gold wheels on white E46 M3's (granted it is a much truer white, but still)
and i had bronze-ish wheels on my PW/B mini. i miss that car a lot, the new GTI is nice and quick, but after taking a test drive in the new MCS, i just may be back to where i was 2 yrs ago... :impatient

Sweet!!
Just the thread I've been looking for!
I'm trying to spec a PW/PW 07 MCS with bronze Volk Rays TE-37's in my head. Not sure how all the chrome would look blacked out either.
I have a buddy that is workin' on photoshopping this, I'll be sure and post pics.
BTW, Gold rims are a lot brighter than bronze rims!

Gold/bronze actually looks great with PW (and Laser Blue).
Those that poo-poo'd it in the beginning of the thread most likely have no idea what current car trends are or what is out in the aftermarket and immediately think gold wheels=gold spoke daytons or something sporting the equivalent of yellow chrome lol.
