I went through John Monk at Nashville MINI -- order was placed on 3/22 and it's in production (today) 3/27! (sorry Skuzzy!)
dave.
Ok, that's it! I ain't gonna take it anymore! First....Congratulations DaveCo!
Now, on to business. All I can say is my Mini must be one special Mini and that is why it is taking so much longer to get into production than all the others. Yeah,..that's the ticket.
That's two MINIs that have been fast-tracked for production. Since orders can be changed up to one week before production, are some dealers changing their allocated "off the lot" builds for new orders?
well, i dunno how the ordering all works ... but i will say i had their first R56 deposit (last fall) and was really just waiting to see it in person before ordering.

It all depends on the allotments that the dealers receive during each ordering period. I made sure to keep track of that before ordering. In dxl007's situation I'm sure that was the last slot open and when the order got rolled on Friday evening that put it into production on Monday.
Certain dealers get their allotments in different manners depending upon their market etc. They can also trade allotments with other dealers. Mine has been trading convertible slots for MCS slots since they are in such high demand down here.
