MINI scheduled matinence

I am confused about the MINI scheduled matinence program offered with our cars. I understand some of this program but I can't find a comprensive list of what's in or out.

I understand what is not covered:
1.If you break somthing, a no brainer
2.Your tires

What is covered:
1. scheduled matinence per MINI intervals
2. your brakes
3.washer blades
4. belts, hoses ect
5. other wear and tear items except tires
( please correct me if I'm wrong)

Now some gray areas: Page 93 of my owners manual states that MINI reccomends that you swap the front to rear wheels every 3000-4000 miles in other words rotate the tires, how come if MINI reccomends this is it not covered by the scheduled matinence plan? My dealer charges $20.00 for this service. What else is not covered?

Also how much is the 4th year of matinence? Is it worth buying? I was told the price is around $399.00( don't quote me I don't remember exactly) and my dealer said the price for me is "locked in" at that price as long as I purchase it before the 3 years are up.

You got it right.
As far as tire rotation, every 3000 miles people will come in to dealership if that was free. Can you imagine how busy they are gonna get for so little money involved? The free maintenance will give you two oil changes basically. Other items may or may not need service depending on how you drive. I just changed out the front brake rotors and pads at home today on my wife's 2001 325i at 56800 miles. Even though the brakes are covered in the free maintenance program, not everyone needs it within 3yrs or 4 years or whatever. It's a marketing tactic. I do maintenance at home even though it is free because it saves me time and I can be sure things get done correctly and without a scratch on the body.
