Congrats!

I ordered mine on May 24th. Docked in NY Port today!!!

The wait is excruciating! I hope (pray and beseech), that I will be bonding with mine by 7/15.
Good luck!

Congratulations to my fellow OBluers In Waiting. I leapt sight unseen for Oxy Blue and just saw my first one 'in the flesh' yesterday! Turns out there's one not too awful far from where I live and the owners were kind enough to meet me for a royal viewing. I've attached a kind of lame pic. If I can edit out some personal info, I'll try to post another one or two. (By the way, this '07 is actually for sale in western NY.) I am as confident now of the color as I was when I ordered mine.

In any event, may our nights be restful and may our MINIs arrive tomorrow (or soon thereafter)!

Isn't just a great shade of blue? A color you are unlikely to see any other car too. I have gotten allot of compliments.

Thanks for sharing...it helps to longingly stare at the pictures of everyone else Beautiful Blue coopers. I check in every day and look at the pictures you guys have posted. It helped me make the decision about what color I wanted and now, I love to look while I count down the days until I bring my own baby home!

Tennessee Cutty said,

"You mean like these? thought about contrasting roof stripes but decided not to". This was in reference to "Viper" style white stripes..

Yea mate, that's the ticket! nice ride..

Hey Tennessee Cutty - When I odered mine I had the white roof/sport stripes as well.

As I lamented my color choice - the sport stripes were always spec'ed.

I don't know why, but "I wants them precious"!

How do they look in person?

TC - I agree! For my taste, the sport stripes really make the car look great!

Looks like we are getting our babies around the same time. Best of luck!

A SLIGHT change (?) of a SLIGHT mind?

Geez, waiting two+ months for my MINI almost has me driving in circles. I thought I was all wrapped up, completely, for sure, positively decided on everything. Well, see, now that I've whiled away about a month since I ordered, I'm having just a leetle change of heart about the exterior of my MINI.

Soooo...does anyone have (or have pictures of) an Oxy Blue MINI (all Oxy Blue) with the white sport stripes running the full length of the vehicle? I guess that would be sport stripes on the bonnet, roof, and the boot. I'm not convinced of this change yet, just toying with it. (In fact, I haven't ruled out aftermarket stripes of a different color.) I've found a few pictures that are close, but not quite it. If anyone has any pics and would post 'em, there's still time for me to change my mind...thanks!

I agree the aero kit looks bad without the painted arches(now standard). Also missing are the rear fogs(what were they thinking?) Other than that I love the Oxygen Blue color all around.I would switch the grill and rear lid with chrome though.

Thanks for the post, OXYBLUE. When I was configuring the other night, I considered the aero kit, but decided against it. Even for me, that was too much blue (plus it looked like I'd be dragging it through the snows of western NY).

BUT, I'm getting kind of used to the idea of an all-OXY MINI. I do think it would need the stripes to break it up a bit, thus the thought to run 'em the whole length of the vee-hickle.

I also wondered about the possibility of a side decal in a dark blue wave (as in water). I work in water resources, so now I've figured out (at least one reason) why Oxy Blue is so appealing to me.

Hey Now!

Picked up Oscar today about 6:00pm!
Looks soooooo goooood!
The handling is down right Ridiculous! You bet - gokart!
Had him up to about 88 mph at one point (passing of course) and the pick up was amazing! Felt like alot more headroom existed too. I can not imagine what the turbos do (must be crazy stupid amazing!!! Well maybe my next one....), but I am very pleased. BTW: The A/C is excellent (outside temp was ~94 deg).
Have about 90 miles on him already. Taking a trip to the Jersey shore tomorrow!
Will post pictures soon. He's a handsome one!
Happy Motoring all!!!!!!

Todays the big day! We leave in about twenty minutes to drive down to Atlanta to pick up Jim. It's about a two hour drive. We even rented a car one way so we don't have to drive back in separate cars! Soon to be proud parents of the best looking oxy blue in southeast TN! Maybe the world! wish us luck...

Mommashine would be so proud...I had a project (non-MINI related) come up requiring me to buy a quart of custom-mixed Oxygen Blue paint. Aside from my project, I find myself now trying to figure out what else I can paint.

Congratulations EDN & TC!

WOW--that is so cool for you both! I loved your short / sweet summary EDN--any doubt I was having about my MINI disappeared as I read your words. I can't wait! TC, I'll be waiting with baited breath (what is that anyway?) to see pictures of your baby as I'm considering the same or similar color scheme.

Motor On, you two! Have a blast and post plenty o' pics!

Got Jim home last night and we averaged 38 mpg driving home from atlanta. Put almost two hundred miles on him by the time we got there. That was at 70 with the ac on and some around town driving. Going to go drive the Dragon today I think! Only about 1 1/2 hrs away. Will post pics soon.

Congratulations new oxygen blue owners. In parking lot seas of silver, grey, and white your MCs will stand out unusual and beautiful.

It's bated breath, with bated a contraction of abated. Waiting with bated breath means one will be holding (or slowing) one's breath. Baited breath smells like the cat's dinner.

Well no pics to post yet but since we picked up Jim yesterday we have 400 miles on him and have averaged 37 mpg! All with the AC on. Took him up into the Smoky Mountain National park today for a workout. Didn't see a mini the whole day until on the way home we motored along for awhile with an older couple (older than us 51+48) in a red MCS Cabrio. The obc says we still have 150 miles left in the tank! Beats the crap out of our 97 Yukon.
