Very special Cooper you got there gokart. I would hang on to that one and hope the engine does not explode if you downshift from 6th to any other gear.
Thing must sound like a Forumla 1 racer on full tilt. when you are on the freeway, before shifting to 6th!!! LOL!!

Rooandren; aren't we NFR's like OB cousins? We're just part of the sub-species of the same genus?

You can order paint by the paintcode too. There's stickers in the car somewhere (like doorjam?) with the code. I wonder if we can go ahead and order with that (but I'd be suspicious if they haven't gotten official factory specs?). I'll try dropping them a note (but wifey has the car today, so will have to wait til I find my code)
Is OB actually nonmetallic like Cursoe said?

Yes, it is!!!! I ordered some touch-up paint from a reputable supplier back in 2003 for my Indi Blue Cooper. It never was a perfect match. Not sure if another vendor could get closer based on the code, but apparently it's trickier than one might expect. If desperate, I'd try it...if not, I'd wait and see what MINI comes out with.

gokart, did you ever post pics of your OB? I saw your note a few weeks back about your camera taking a round the world trip!
momma, with any luck we can get factory paint soon, I just have that feeling, but it's still probably a good idea to get one of those kits such as http://www.touchup123.com/default.aspx? or langka. I haven't researched what product is most worth it yet.

Well, it isn't official yet, but it looks as though I'm going to be the newest owner of the OB crew! My MA needs to check tomorrow morning to see if they can do a dealer swap. He said it is almost a lock, but If not, I will most definitely order an OB MC from the factory, unless I can somehow figure out how to finagle an MCS into the budget.

Just want to jump in and let you know that I hope to be joining the OB Club real soon....hopefully, ordering tomorrow....
Managed to see the one OB on the lot at my local MINI dealer today....looked great!!
Thinking of getting it with white roof and mirrors, no stripes...
As for inside, really like lighter interiors, so very tempted to splurge a bit and get the Tuscan Beige leather....if they had a nice light or medium gray in the leatherette I would probably go with that....
Will report back soon...........

Hopefully my MINI will be delivered 2nd week of July. Will let you know how the Tuscan beige interior looks then.

Yes, give it all up...it's definitely worth it!!! You'll be too busy motoring to deal with all that other stuff anyway. No, I'm not kidding....it builds character!! There's lot of little adjustments you may find yourself making to accomodate your MINI (I certainly have), but then why not...MINIs are not ordinary cars!!!

Our '07 Oxygen Blue MC w/ Tuscan Beige & English Oak is on the ship right now. We hope to take delivery in a few weeks. How do we join the OB Owners Club? We just found this thread and saw pictures of the OB car for the first time. We had to order it w/o seeing one after going to three dealers to find one. Thanks in advance.

Probably not. Truth be told, I'll rarely ever push an S to the limits on my daily commute, and in reality, I'd much rather have a well optioned MC than an MCS with little to no extras. I've done the HP thing with Mustangs already. Power is nice, but refined driving experiences, now that's where it's at.

What About a Cream Color Line and Oak in OB?
I have a lead on an almost perfectly speced OB/W. After agonizing, I decided to go for an automatic. The hills up here in Puget Sound can be hellacious, and I did not like my experience with the 05 S.
I can put a deposit on one that has a cream color line with English oak. Gokartride, the more I look at your interior with the oak, the more I'm feeling the old British classic spirit.
The seats are carbon black checkered cloth. Perfect for my mini piebald weiner and the wirehaired weiner.
