Sounds like Molly and I will be missing out on the FUN you MOTD peeps are going to have, party for us a little, but make it a Safe Party!!

Molly had her 3rd and Final "Free" Maintenance Check-up on Tuesday, can't believe in less than 2 Weeks my Baby will be 3 years old...where did the time go??!! She had 34,998mi. on her when we dropped her off at Rasmussen, now a bit more than 35,000, but now Mamma' is gonna' NOT worry about mileage and just Play and Have FUN!!

For commerating Molly's 3rd Birthday, I've ordered a PC and supplies from Griot's and ordered Molly a Brake Light Pulser, anybody install one of these yet??
Hoping to get some help from our Club Events Director after it comes in. Will let you know how it goes.

Maybe one of you can help me before I go calling the dealer while I'm at work...

Bought my car in March 2010
In November, I had my free oil change service at 17,000 miles
After this the service indicator said my next one was in 6,000 miles
In December, I put it in storage
Got it back out in March 2011, service indicator still says in 6,000 miles
I'm at 20,600 miles now and just today it switched (from due in 6k) to Service 3/2011 (But it's already April, car!)

Do I still get a free 1-year checkup even though I already had my oil change service this year?

MotD-wise: Looks like its a very likely chance we'll be bringing Basil -- one of Jimmy's tires has a gash in it from when he had his rims swapped from one set to the other. He says he won't feel comfortable driving it on the Dragon and needs to buy new tires (which he can't afford and I'm already dishing out $1k on a cabin, soo... sorry? haha.).

After the auto show sounds peachy keen to me! Where would we meet? :D

I'm also stoked that the have a rave party this year. uh, YES PLEASE? I *love* rave stuff. Tempted to bring what little gear I have, haha. Don't want to be too excessive though... in case it's not what I'm thinking it is.

Great! So, we'll at least have 3 OB MINIs! I'm guessing there will be another 1 or 2 that aren't posting here, so if we see one that's not one of us 3, we should let them know what our plan is.

Hmm... I'm thinking we should meet somewhere right around the baseball field somewhere, just to keep it simple. Then, if we want to go somewhere specific for a picture, we can go from there. Anybody else have any ideas?

Gorgeous car.

Few questions

1) Where did you buy the front grille from?
2) How did you get the orange out of the headlight?
3) Where did you get the side marker/chrome part from?

Thanks

To answer you first question (kindof), you can get the JCW Grill from out-motoring.com. Just make sure you get the one that is specifically for the Cooper, not S.

Thanks!

1. I bought it from Outmotoring. You can also get the black trim pieces if you don't want to keep the chrome trim. It was a really easy install. http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...rill_trim.html

2. I took the orange lenses out completely. I followed this tutorial: http://www.flickr.com/photos/2952690...7606691731284/ It wasn't too hard, but there is one catch - If your car came with clear bulbs behind an orange lens (like mine) you'll need bulbs that blink orange. 1156 is the number. These should work: http://www.amazon.com/SILVER-AMBER-P.../dp/B000U07ZKI (If you see someone say you need 1157 bulbs, those go on cars that came with orange bulbs behind clear lenses, the pin offset is different).

3. Again, Outmotoring. The dealer also sells these (for $150ish). The ones Outmotoring currently offers (they only had OEM when I bought mine) are aftermarket lookalikes. http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...r_housing.html They have some others designs too (checkered, black mesh, red/blue union jack)

Been awhile since I posted, but did some more modding to Atori.

last weekend, dropped him off at vip custom parts in Scottsdale and got a new performance exhaust and a cold air intake. Atori sounds like a mean machine now. Love it.

Getting ready for AMVIV in Vegas

Molly threw a Check Engine Light (P013A), I think it's an O2 Sensor, it couldn't be because of our PDX MINI Club Run this Weekend...could it??!!
Anyway, since Rasmussen MINI is in the middle of a change of ownership (Rasmussen to Lithia) I have an appointment scheduled for next Wednesday. I was able to pull the code using my HD Connection, it is a very cool device if you have a Garmin that is compatible, it's a lot like a Scan Guage II but less $$.

WoW 08 already throwing codes? :(

Our 03 was incredibly troublesome. Thus stayed away and bought the 2010, hoping quality has improved. Only time will tell I suppose

My 09 threw an engine code when it was 6 months old - oxygen sensor. Haven't had a problem since then and it was a 1-day turnaround repair. I'm perfectly OK with it, especially because I was coming from the most problematic car in the world (Jeep)... :P

Well, actually! I was wondering -- maybe the ice cream shop/general store if it's not too packed? Trying to hunt each other down might be a bit of a pain if we parked in such a large area. I dunno though. I can barely remember the layout of the Village.

So... my headlight saga continues. I ordered those other sockets that come on the white turn signal package cars... and they didn't fit either! They really like to make things difficult to change! So my boyfriend took an exacto knife to them and MADE them fit.

Anyways. I am now driving around with legal turn signals again (that are a neat iridescent blue when off). And I got my EZPass case so it blends in.

Next I'm waiting on black jack center caps from Aesthetic Creations... and debating on doing the beltline black out.

Hmm any pics? I am going to do my turn signals too, and since I have been taking notes from your car, want to make sure I do it right.

Blainestang, I think you meant JCW, not Cooper, and not S, the JCW Grill is what I ordered for Molly and had Rasmussen install.

There is an L cut out on the socket and they go opposite directions on the two different sockets. I didn't see what he did, but I assume he just cut out the other side so it ended up a T cut out so it could snap in the correct direction.

Oh ok. I am just thinking of putting clear side repeaters (on the fender) and an orange light on the inside, to stay legal.

Did you find clear side reflectors? I looked all over for them but never found any. Ended up just putting black tint film on them.

I was talking about the fender repeaters not the reflectors.

However, I will do the reflectors in clear as well. One of the standard avatar pics here is my car, and you can see it small.

BUt you can see how I did it on my 03 MCS JCW here and I will do the same on the Oxygen blue
