You are under consideration for the SSOW. I have my eye on you.

SuzCooper, you should have seen the looks in my office when I stood up and shouted, "MY BABY IS ON HER WAY!!!!". All the congratulations on my Wife and I having a new baby happened faster than I could explain what baby I was talking about. Not to mention the comments about having a child at my age seemed pretty gutsy (political translation: You are one insane lunatic!).

Of course, everytime I have a bit of good news about my baby, I have to run or call the Wife and let her know. I get that, "Oh my God, he really has lost it" look.......a lot. She is having a hard time dealing with it anyway. She keeps muttering, "it's a girl's car". Now, she is saying, "you are turing into one of them!". I say, "huh". She says, "a miniac!". I just tell her, "Wait until the car is actually here."

There was a dance? I only have the singing in my voicemail inbox. "My car's in production, it's in production, it's in production..."

There most definitely was a dance...you only got the audio portion. But you're one of the few understanding ones anyway

Isn't the anonymity of the Internet and this forum wonderful? Where else can we be total freaks and get away with it, or actually be encouraged and more enabled?

Aye, 'cept folks on NAM don't remain "anonamous" for very long. We eventually seek each other out...in clubs, local events, regional events, and national events. Mostly because non-MINIacs simply do not understand us and we must seek support, acknowledgement, acceptance, and recognition from others who understand our affliction.

My gestation time.......

Hi there. I order my MCS from Manhattan Mini/BMW on April 13th. The build was finished on May 1 and it's on it's way to port for loading onto a ship. From there I'm told it's about 3 weeks to the dealer.

MCS, Sparkling Silver w/ matching Roof, Premium package. Yeah.

Anyone know how long the actual manufacturing process takes once it starts down the assembly line?

Mine entered production on the 28th and is expected to be finished on the 3rd but I'm not sure if the plant operates both days of the weekend or just one. In any case, either five or six days.

Milkyway,
We ordered my wife's MC w/nav on March 1st (had to wait because there was a hold on NAV orders until the 1st). Car was built on March 5-7, and made a boat a few days later. The dealer received the car on March 24th. The truckers like to deliver to the dealer we used (Prestige) because it's a fast quick run from the port. If I had known the car was so great, I would have bought one years ago. The NAV was used extensively two weeks ago when we went to Washington DC for a wedding with various events at many different venues. NAV got us everywhere without my having to print mapquest befor the trip.
