LOVE the white wheels and white roof combo.. Still deciding which white wheels I want but going the same route.. Looks great. Did not like the center caps huh?
The biggest problem with the white wheels is the infernal brake dust. Even on my brushed alloys they turn black almost immediately. Some one said that I need to put a super heavy coat of wax om them and that will help. How have any of you resolved this - other than going to ceramic brake pads.

Wax helps (e.g., Wheel Armour). I keep a brush and Simple Green handy and clean the wheels every weekend. I'm looking forward to changing to ceramic pads, but frequent washing does the trick. No magic answer.

I know what you mean--I went back and forth between ordering white and silver (I think white wheels look best with the LB) but opted for silver due to the cleanliness issue. Got my antenna ball (in my new owners kit)! A Brittish flag. Wonder how long it will last before it is snagged....
Ceramic pads seem to be the answer for me too. I want to get a graphic roof top, chrome exhaust pipes and the chrome driving headlamps installed on my MCS. I guess the pads will have to wait until later. I am going to play lotto this weekend!
For us ladies (and gents) who do not want to get our hands dirty or use gloves, I found a cool product at Wal Mart (can probably find elsewhere as well). It's called Sonic Scrubber and it looks like an oversized power toothbrush. If you purchase the accessory kit, it will have any size you need to clean the wheels with a minimum of effort. I like minimums....
Congrats! Oh...I'd love to have one of those in my mini. Did the Mini dealership install it for you?
Actually, no. Custom Mini Shop in Fresno, CA did it. One of the reasons I went with a Mini is because I wanted a good mechanic lined up for when the car is out of warranty--bought it to keep for awhile. My husband is at this very moment having his front struts and coilovers replaced on his '03. He is also learning how to work on mini's himself. If anyone is ever in the Fresno area, I highly recommend Custom Mini Shop. j.
Keep the thread alive folks...I have an 06 MCS Rally, dark metallic silver, lease is up next year and I will go with the LB, likely black roof, just debating the stripes. Thanks for all the pics, makes it tougher to decide..lol
Good color choice. I had not seen the laser blue in person until I went to the dealership to order mine. I was originally going to go with chili red, but when I saw the LB, changed my mind and very glad I did. Everyone loves the color. Looks even better with the factor aero kit which makes the wheel wells and rocker panels self-colored and easier to keep clean (the black plastic is hard to keep looking nice).

Black wheels help too although on close inspection you can see the dust...
I seem to get a lot of "looks" with my LB MCS than our champagne colored MCS. I was at the mall yesterday and some of these teenage girls were gawking at the Mini saying "Oh, I want a Mini!". I felt like running them over.
movin on from the mini... the constant dealer warranty work, resetting of the windows, etc. finally got to me. That, and the fact that I couldn't go car camping in the mini, I couldn't fit everything.
I don't blame you if you need a larger vehicle as your primary car. We are lucky in that we also own a Honda minivan, so even though our two Mini's are little, we still have a backup when needed
