that's it.
I got a 5 door.
thankfully, no melting hood scoops... This sucker is wide open and fully functional, as it comes with a top mount intercooler.

I do and I don't at the same time.
the mini was a cool car. It didn't have near the amount of power that this car has. The awd is really nice, you can definitely power through turns instead of having to be cautious in the turns. It's got a much softer suspension then I had in my mini so a bit more roll, but I'll be taking care of that soon enough.
Overall, I'm extremely happy and glad to have gotten rid of the issues that plague the R56.
parking isn't quite as easy, lol.

I hope they have fixed the serious internal engine failures of the 09 WRX..

We have an 07 WRX Wagon so not a Scooby Hater.. Not MINE so not listed in my cars below.
Best of luck with it.. AWD kicks butt.. I sometimes miss my Evo but missed my Mini enough to get rid of it and get another..

^Yea, they have fixed the issue with the 09's... apparently it only really plagued the 09's that were built in 08. Mine was built in 04/09, so I shouldn't have any issues. I checked the build date before I purchased, I wouldn't have even thought about test driving if it was built in 08. They just needed to change out a type of bearing used internally, not an inherent design flaw like some other cars I know...
no, not really. I have a few MINI parts still lying around that I'd like to sell though, so I've been in and out on here, just checking in, seeing if people are interested, and looking at some of my subscribed threads.

BTW .. saw the melting scoop on one just yesterday at a PhillyMini dinner meet. First I had heard of it and just saw your post above.. Hope they have found a fix and put it into production.

Glad they fixed it and wish you the best with the new one!! Blue is Best! Never know what might happen with the wagon now that things are straightened out.. More HP and love the 09 addition of the wing etc.

the melting hood scoop isn't that bad, and if it does melt, that just gives you a reason to get the CF one!

I look forward to seeing what you will have up for sale!! Btw, congrats on your new vehicle!!! I showed my husband the picture of your new car and the first words that came out of his mouth was "Ohhhhh...Rally car!!!" (he's a fan of Rally car racing)
@Pocket_Rocket: Your baby looks fantastic! What do you use to clean and wax your JCW?

Pocket Rocket: your car looks epic, I really like it. I wouldn't do red mirror caps, they don't match the rest of the body - the minor red accents in the JCW logo and the brake calipers are enough red to be visually interesting, without overpowering the blue and white of the rest of the car.
Huge fan of the Laser Blue colour and the older Electric Blue, but I find Laser better because it's a bit more bluish, and not as light a colour as Electric was. My Mini is Pure Silver, but I may go for a Laser Blue MCS sometime soon.

Our mechanic as a Electric Blue Mini and when my wife's Laser Blue car is next to it, the Electric blue looks like a faded Laser blue It's still nice though
