Can you post a bigger picture of your car? I am also considering chrome scoop...

Can someone answer a few questions about stripes?
Are sport stripes (the closely placed sripes on the bonnet and boot) a dealer applied accessory?
Are the bonnet stripes (the wide spaced stripes on the bonnet only) a factory installed stripe?
Anyone with an older mini (Moree than 5 years) having any problems with the striping coming off?
Just starting to look at the MCS in Laser Blue on-line and have yet to make the trip to the dealer (about an hour away).
Thanks!

^ fwiw, I'm not too impressed w/my bonnet stripes. they have numerous water stains/bird poops stains, and chips in them. I've only had my MCS from May of 2008. I would personally rather have them painted on. Of course, I have heard of ways to remove said water stains but none of them have seemed to have worked for me. I guess I just like a low maintenance stripe...
But I'm not sure if one were to get the clear bra installed if it goes over the stripes, or if the stripes are one top. But if the stripes go under the clear bra I think that might be worth it.
I do like the way they look, though (minus the stains).

Clear Bra
The clear bra can be either over or under your stripes. The aftermarket installers I called upon, preferred putting it UNDER the stripes. Their reasoning being that most MINI owners modify often. With the stripes on top, they can easily be removed, leaving the clear bra intact.
With stripes underneath, should you ever wish to remove them, then so to will the clear bra have to be replaced ( it cannot be simply peeled back and re-applied).
Still, they will do whatever the customer wishes. I decided to leave mine "as is". The usual application is about 18" up (leaving some room for damage anyway). The co$t for this minimal protection wouldn't be much different than a fresh paint job, a few years down the road. Or a vinyl blanket wrap - who knows, by then

Here is my new 2010 MINI Cooper S, Laser Blue. Previous car was a 2008 BMW Z4 roadster, liked it but didn't "love" it. I was in love with the MINI on the other hand from the first ride, as you all probably experienced.
See gallery for more pics.
Picked it up in March in San Diego and added the following mods: Kyowa kr228 17" wheels, "add a brake" rear light kit, chrome trunk lid handle, chrome mirrors, stubby antenna, roof rack and fork mount bike rack, glovebox organizer, rubber trunk mat. Also removed the warning stickers on the sun visors. Minor thing, but it was annoying me Also thinking of getting some tinting done.
Took it to Vegas once, freeway driving, not too exciting, especially in heavy traffic on the way back. Then a week later went to Death Valley National Park, there are some awesome drives there, both paved twisties as well as dirt roads. My favorite was 20 Mule road, a one way dirt road ~2 miles in length carved right between the canyons. Drove it hard, but my car was brown with dirt by the time I was done and there was a huge cloud of dust behind me. If any of you ever go there, drive it, you'll love it! Hopefully there's nobody in front of you slowing you down.
Original specs: automatic transmission with steering wheel paddles, premium package, sport package, black sport stripes (parallel), grey/carbon black leatherette, anthracite headliner, chrome and piano black interior, carpet floor mats, center armrest, foglights, blue tooth and USB/ipod adapter, Sirius radio.
