I'm contemplating pink wheels and pink calipers. What do you guys think? Would that clash with the blue? So far, she's totally bone stock!
It depends on the shade of pink. It could be fabulous!

Finally got mine last week! I must say, the color is even better than I pictured it. Some one near the beginning of this thread described the color as "complex" and I agree. It has a depth to it that I find almost mesmerizing...

Why are Mini owners not willing to have fun and be bold with some fun colors?? I've had like 6 people beg me not to get pink wheels. Sheesh. Although I'm starting to not want pink anyway because it'll collect break dust.

See that's what I think. If it's done right, it can look good.

I'll post a picture of the pink tonight that I was leaning toward. It won't let me do it from my iPad :(

New member of the Laser Blue club here. Just bought a brand new 2011 MCS last night with body color roof and mirrors. It had silver 16" wheels when I got to the dealer, but I opted for the black ones instead. I think it goes better with the LB since there is no white or silver anywhere on the car.

btw, I stole someones sig pic and modified it a little, hope you don't mind

I'm finding myself drawn to the blue accent on the concept coupe's wheels.

Now that one I like. But sorry I just cannot accept the pink ones. My S.O. wants to put those on the C-32 AMG we just got for her and I am fighting that tooth and nail.

It is not that I do not like to have fun and have colors but I hate tacky and to me pink wheels are just tacky, but that is me. It is your car so whatever floats your boat is fair game.

I've actually decided to get black wheels again. Black is easy to maintain and looks good. Pink is a bit much now that I photoshopped my car with pink wheels on it.

Just got my Laser Blue 07 MCS last Saturday. Named it Bloo. We get compliments everywhere we go. The color is what originally caught our attention.

Welcome!
How about some pics and info on your full configuration. I love the tie in with the Blues!

Bloo

So far she is pretty much stock although she gets a new intake tomorrow.Blood is Laser Blue with 17"rims, 6spd, Tuscan interior with Blue later accents, piano black and a squeaky sunroof. Euro tag like the one in my sign should be here Monday. Then I need to start figuring out an exhaust and the best way to flash the ECU. I should be broke right about this point, so any recommendations on DIY mods or cheap reprogramming would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait for MOTD 2012.

Finally got around to powder coating the wheels. I also swapped the M7 C-wing back to the stock spoiler. Much, much better looking in my opinion.

That has to be quite a difference in driving experience! - A MINI and a Maxi!

Great taste in the Mini

yea going from a mini to a ladder truck is quite neat, as you can see the cab of the ladder is the same length as the mini in total. The ladder also has a 0-60 time measured with a calender, and the twisties in the ladder, is taken in both lanes and at about 10 mph. I do get to pass more cars in the maxi than in the mini, but red lights and sirenes help.

Here is a pic of my 08 MCS, LB with black top and chrome package, I picked it up in October. I put the challenge wheels on it, it really changed the car from the crown spokes. I am thinking that I would like it better with painted hood scoop and black mirror caps, what do you guys think?

Now I just need to make the time to install my TSW springs to get rid of the 4x4 look.....

BTW, I have seen a black mini around with pink bonnet stripes and mirror caps, it actually looks really good. I am not sure how the pink would look with laser blue, though.

What is involved in joining one of the owners clubs?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, I picked my 07 MCS in October as well! Welcome to NAM and MINI Ownership! I'm as enthusiastic as I've ever been about a car and I'm enjoying it! As far as the clubs go there are local motoring (MINI) enthusiast clubs and then a whole bunch of threads such as "[insert color/feature/identity] Owners Official Club". To be a member is pretty straight forward, either show up or own said [insert color/feature/identity]!

There is a MINI Club of Western New York you might be interested in. They seem to die down a bit during the winter as I can understand, but won't stop me from motoring! You can check out their website at http://miniclubofwny.activeboard.com and they'll have events posted I'm assuming later.

As far as the North American Motoring threads, just find them and post in them about how awesome your car is (pictures definitely are a plus)!

My new purchase

Hey everyone,

New to the forums, but have been reading through pages and pages of info . Me and the wife have decided to buy a 2007 Cooper S in Laser Blue, just thought I would put up a couple quick pictures I took of it.

New ones will be added once I actually get the car (within the next 2 weeks, waiting on the current owner to get their new car). Buying it from a friend of the family, getting a really good deal (almost $9,000 less than comparable Mini's in the area). Only 44,000 kms on it, and exterior and interior are in great shape. Fair amount of wind noise from the moonroof (which I will try the adjustment I have read about on here). No issues with the timing chain as far as I can tell. Already have one or two mods planned right away, like the torque arm bushing insert and possibly a OCC. Eventually would like to get some performance gear (intake, tune, etc), but for now I will just enjoy it when I get it haha.
