Thanks!! I'm contemplating on getting rid of the black vinyl's..it just feels odd with a white roof and mirrors and then black stripes. Plus the vinyl's are broken apart in places and look in need of being replaced... any thoughts?
I had the wide white bonnet stripes installed from the get go. The (dealer installed) stripes have a narrow black edge for contrast, and the wide spacing makes the stance appear even wider. When I configured my order, the motoring assistant said, "see and be seen." So I ordered the xenons (to see), and bonnet stripes so people would see me.
If you are asking about removing the black vinyl, I have not done it personally. From what I've read on NAM, it's not a hard job after warming the vinyl with a hair dryer.
Ya... I'm more worried about removing them and then having an obvious discoloration from where they were compared to do the weathered paint.... I could always have new Vinyl's applied though I guess.... or I could just Plastidip the current vinyl's......hmmmm lol.
I do indeed like the wide bonnet and boot stripes though... I was just saying it's odd that they are black with a white roof and mirrors lol
2008 - Manual, LSD, S-Winders, Cold Weather package. Nice lite configuration. Took me a while to find a MCS with no sunroof and a LSD. Now slowly preparing it for D Stock autocross.
Man I really like the looks of everything on that car... except the Bears plate :P haha long time Lion's fan here so I couldn't help but poke fun at that!
Laser blue surprises me how much it changes with a black roof or a white roof. I agree that the white stripes would go better with the rest of your car, Ryan.
Chifan, nice find on a car with LSD. Those are hard to find.

Now you both need an accessport..........
Have fun,
Mike
I had a Cobb Accessport on my 2005 STi and it was amazing, very smooth pulls. However with this car I am just going to stick with the JCW Stage 1 kit so that I can be D Stock legal still.
Maybe once I run into a load a money I will get a custom tune/Ohlins coil-overs/Wilwood BBK and run with the big boys .
I think I'm either going to just get rid of the stripes for now and get white ones later.... or plasti-dip my roof and spoiler matte black as well as all the chrome trim and my wheels! I edited my post back a page with more pictures of it with the stripes and white roof so you can see what i mean.
Laser blue is the best color, is it not?! I've got a 2010 black on LaB hardtop JCW (non aero kit version cause they still let us have that choice back then) with LSD and too many mods . His name is Ahab. Unfortunately the NAM app and iPhone will not let me show you folks his sexiness at the moment. My car is a proper demo in going waaaaay too crazy on CARBONMINI's website in every way. I'm gonna continue trying to post pics for y'all!
New to this thread and couldn't wait to share photos of my little rocket. Only have her a since October, but am head over heels in love. I can't believe it took me this many years to get one.
Now there's a rare color combo! I don't know if I've seen painted wheel arches with a stock Cooper S bumper. And the black lip section is painted too! With what appears to be the JCW side skirts? Very nice indeed!
EDIT: Oh and the headlight rings and grill surround!
