TheBigNewt's an owner!
Picked up my Sparkling Silver/Tuscan beige MCS yesterday in Scottsdale, right off the lot. It had the stuff I wanted +/- sport suspension (didn't have that, wasn't sure I wanted it, drove both). Manual of course. So there you have it. Driving it 100 miles back home was a big treat compared to my Jeep Grand Cherokee which was like driving a boat over 75mph. I have to look at the speedo to tell how fast I'm going in this thing. I'm more than pleased to put it mildly!

Take out the armrest and throw in the oak MFSW, and that's the interior on my BRG MC currently sitting at the VDC. Congrats, Big Newt, it looks awesome. But now you just made me more impatient. You're the first one I have seen that was able to capture in a photo what the tuscan beige interior actually looks like in person. For those interested, it's the shade on the driver's side door and seat, not as washed out as it appears on the passenger side.

Yes, you have it right on the interior color. It's the driver's seat/door color, not the passenger side. It's noticeably lighter leather than the configurator shows you, more like your khaki pants. It goes really well with the Sparkling Silver exterior. I went to a rally at the Scottsdale dealership the day before I purchased. There were about 60 owners' Minis there. Not one Sparkling Silver, so it must be a new color for the Coupe. Only one Flame Spoke wheel, which is cool, I like the horseshoe design. The other really cool option was the convertible with the Sidewalk package. It has a much darker leather than Tuscan, with stitching, and 2 other premium package options for $4,000 which saves you about $600. If I wanted a convertable I would have ordered that. The other cool color was Oxygen Blue. The other 2 blues were the same IMO and there were a bunch of blue, red, and white cars there. The interiors with black and the colored leather accents were too busy for me. The red leather was very nice, I almost bought my car with that but it didn't have the English Oak which makes the interior look unique. I really want a wood steering wheel to go with it.

Fabulous looking MINI BigNewt! We, too, bought 'right off the lot'. After reading some of the stories of waiting for steamships to chug across the pond, I'm sorta glad we found our MINI just waiting for us upon our arrival!
We went into the dealer prepared to order ours w/ specs made at miniusa.com but when the MA said he had a MINI in stock (that someone had ordered but failed to pickup), we became curious as to what he had. Lo and behold, it had everything we wanted plus black leather interior w/ oak making it even better! So it goes...
Again, congrats on a beautiful car! Here's to Sparkling Silver!

I had planned on posting pics. Honestly, I am hoping to be the first one to post pics of the full oak treatment on the interior . Now if my MINI would just cooperate and get here!
