Any kind of wind deflector for when using sunroof mode?

I've noticed that when I have the top open in sunroof mode, there is a LOT of turbulence in the cabin. I'm curious if anyone has come up with some kind of deflector similar to the ones they make for the regular sunroofs on hardtop cars that extends slightly over the front of the opening and reduces the turbulence.

Something like this but that would mount on the top of the windshield frame on the convertible and extend all the way across.

Opening the rear windows cuts the turbulance a bit. But your best bet is to put down the top!

Open the back windows when in sunroof mode. Reduces the turbulence in the cabin by about 70%.

Thanks both of you for that tip! I tried it on my way to work this morning and even though the fastest I managed to go was about 40mph for half a block, I noticed that it did make a difference and definitely helps.

I'd still love to find some type of deflector though.

Personally if it were up to me I'd drive with the top and windows down most of the time (it's why I got a convertible) but my gf has a type of corneal dystrophy and her eyes are extremely sensitive to any type of wind or trauma. She likes having the top down too but we need to find ways to minimize any wind turbulence otherwise the wind can cause her to get some pretty bad corneal tears.

So, if you have any other ideas on reducing turbulence both in sunroof mode and with the top down I'd love to hear them.

I'm already planning on buying one of the regular deflectors that mount in the back seat so that should help a bit too with the top completely down.

The best you can do to minimize turbulance is:
- Top down
- Windows up
- Wind Deflector installed
- Good fitting sunglasses (or goggles)

Get her some goggles that block the wind. My wife has some sunglasses with a kind of foam around the outside that block some of the wind.

Cool. My last car was also a convertible so she already has some goggles and sunglasses with the foam around the edges.

This car seems to have a lot more wind turbulence than my last one though so I'm just wondering if there are any tips or tricks specific to this car to reduce wind.

Having the back windows down in sunroof mode works great. I tried it again when I went out to lunch and was surprised at how big of a difference it makes.

I'll be ordering a wind deflector sometime next week I think.

Hopefully with the wind deflector and everything else I'll be able to keep the wind down to a minimum.
