DSC issues

Hi there,
CAR : Mini R57 Cabro 2009, 1.6L
Problem: Once DTC is cleared, the car is switched off. Once the ignition is back on, "Longitudinal Accelerration, Traversal Acceleration and Yaw-Angle Speed" sensors working and + - numbers shows up. However, after 20/30 seconds, Traversal Acceleration and Yaw-Angle Speed sets to 0 and only Longitudinal Accelerration changes value.

ps1. when clearinf DTC, I feel a click unsre the sterring wheel
ps2. on straight ahead driving, if i take hans off the steering wheel, the car steers to the left.

Question: whats oing on @ how can I fix it.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Your mini most likely needs a front end alignment.

What are the actual code values that are stored? The actual codes are more helpful than the descriptive text that is mentioned. Any recent work done to the steering system? Has the steering column been disconnected from the rack for any work?

Based on what little information was provided, my gut says the steering angle position sensor is not aligned with the steering rack position sensor and needs to either be reset or realigned, or both.

Does your Mini no longer drift left after the wheel alignment?

Hi njaremka,

Thanks for your response.

Here are some diagnostic codes I have recorded via scan tool in respect of DSC after the wheel alignment:

5DE7, 5E52, 5E34, 5DFB

Steering Angle remains constant at -0.12 degree while driving

Status ASC/DSC Not Pressed (No change whle driving)

The following parameters change on starting the car for 5 to 10 seconds while driving.
- Longitudinal Acceleration
- Traversal Acceleration
- Yaw-Angle Speed
After 10 seconds, the Longitudinal Acceleration changes but the other 2 shows 0. As if the mesurements stop altogether.

ps1. SZL Module Squib Switch Cluster has been changed recently.

ps2. The dash lights are also on as per photo.

Thanks.

Amber Dashlights are on while the engine is running

The before alignment numbers would not have predicted any (leftward) pull of the steering wheel.

Edited:
I don't know your DSC control module variant.

If your DSC variant happens to be DSC_56 (my best guess), the DSC codes (https://bmwfault.codes/) would indicate the following faults:
(1) DSC control module
(2) Adjustment error in DSC steering angle sensor
(3) SZL (steering column switch cluster) signal fault to DSC interface
