My MA did confirm the week 36 production. Of course anything can change. Perhaps it is because I am getting a base coupe plus options rather than an S or Works version.

Your MA should be able to tell you your production week. If not, call 1-866-ASK-MINI and ask the customer rep.

BTW, is the Owner's Lounge showing your proper configuration for your order yet?

Ah... That could indeed be it. Maybe the justa Coupes get first pop at the production run. We ordered a S with a JCW Package. Congrats on your order.

 

I put my final order in last Friday.. but I made 2 slight tweaks on Monday.. I dont think that affects timing.

I'm the first at the brand new dealership here in Dallas (3rd dealership in Dallas).. Mini of Plano.

I haven't heard of a production week yet but they kept telling me 'Early November'

I'm going to give them an email tomorrow and find out :P

It only shows my color-not the total configuration.BTW- I called ASK-MINI and they couldn't give me any furthur info except that it's "on order"

Since we are both from Philly there is a good shot thet they may come over on the same boat and we'll have delivery about the same time. Did you order from Mini of Main Line? I ordered from Mimi of Mt. Laurel. We could have a race

 

Owner's Lounge updated to show the proper configuration for our S Coupe today. Still no confirmed production date.

 

Great News!!! I had to change the config on mine a little with the dealer. HK radio is not available as a stand alone, although it can be configured as a stand alone. Actually have to get the technology package. For me, that was ok as it turned out not to have any difference in price due to my selections.

That's strange as I ordered the H/K sound system as a stand-alone option on our S Coupe. Its option number was "674". No worries though as the Technology Package is a much more complete solution that I'm sure you'll be happy with.

Even my MA thought it strange she could not add it, even afer consulting with Mini headquarters. Perhaps it is one of those "non-S" things. In any event, I am indeed very happy about the change with no additional cost :-)

My MA emailed me to let me know I have moved from status 111 to 112 (scheduled for production). Week 36 build is official in BMW AG systems!

First I would like to say "Congrats" ,good choice. I'm waiting to test drive one as soon as we receive them here in Canada.Did you get a break on the price and how much if you don't mind me asking. Last time I bought my Cooper '05,I got $1,000 off,was that a lot or it's the norm,I would like to do better this time,thanks

Just my opinion, but I think it is going to be tough to get a discount on the Coupe. The production is too limited,not to mention this is a brand new introduction that is highly desirable.

When I bought my 03 Cooper, there was a mark-up. When I got the 05 'S', I got a slight discount. I think this is of course market driven based on supply and demand. The struggling economy could change things as production moves forward.

 

I guess we shouldn't expect too much of a deal,this car will probably be in high demand especially from previous hatchback owners,thanks for your replies

 

Sorry for the delay in posting here.
Sat down with my dealer way back when the concept came out in Germany. Seems so long ago now. Told them the moment this car was available to order I wanted a call.
Over a year later on July 15 I got the call. Went in the next morning to place my order. Now that the configuration tool is up I have built the MINI. Just under the limit I wanted to spend 40K

Plan to place Orange sport stripes over the top.
If you are fans of WWR I am the guy that they talked to on the 6 year birthday show (388). Will add my name to the Coupe roll call thread as well. Looks like it is time to start getting busy here on NAM again.
