Just back from MINI of Peabody where I placed an order for their first S Coupe! It will be white silver with a dark silver roof, and just a few goodies. HK Stereo, cold wx pack, Bluetooth/iPod and xenons. Build week 36 and should be here around the beginning of October! Looking forward to an awesome drive!!

 

Didn't even know you could order them yet, congratulations! It seems to be a divisive model but personally I think it is a great addition to the brand, I'm sure it'll be a blast

Thanks for the well wishes! This is MINI number 5 (not all at once of course) for our happy little family of 2 (plus 2 parrots) and I figured why not go with something completely different this time around! I couldn't justify spending more than 30K on a car (and 28k is still making me think I've gone looney) but I know once it arrives and I'm actually driving the thing, it will all be worth it!

My little lady might get one now... She was looking at just the Cooper S, but this one caught her eye.

I couldn't find the new coupe. I guess it helps if you know Italian but the image wasn't coming up

 

I isn't even in the configurator yet! :D

But as the R56 JCW full-options is about $47.000 and it's about €47.000 over here (almost $67.000) I guess it's a bargain :D

I'm jealous too. I'll mess with the confirurator soon. The price list/options is on Motoringfile in PDF. My first try came to $35k for an S. I'm afraid to tackle the JCW.

My wife and I just purchased a MCS 2011 for her and she loves it to death.. After I drove it I started really getting into it, in fact I just installed the Forge BOV kit today from WMW. Now I have have almost always been exclusive to pick ups, you know functionality can haul stuff.. Now that I think about it I haul a bunch of other peoples stuff to...
Anyway I saw a pick of the Coupe and now I hate to say it but I might be considering it at a later date...They are awesome....

 

Saw the Coupe yesterday at my dealer. They had a one day private showing. Couldnt drive it but it was awesome. They didnt have pricing but its available from Motoringfile. My S prices out around $30k. Thats what I paid for my 2006 S ragtop so thats pretty good I think. Now I have to negotiate with a few dealers to get the best trade in price for my 2006. BTW- Coupe looks much better in person. That overhanging lip that everyone is complaining about on the roof tail doesnt bother me a bit. It is hardly
noticible in person.

 

Congrats. Can't wait to see them at the dealer. Probably give mine to my wife and get me a JCW coupe. But first I need to teach her how to drive stick.

 

Did you actually place an order in the system, or did the dealership just take down your specifications? My dealership is still telling me that they are not able to place orders yet.

 

I'd much prefer a wider range of roof and stripe colors.....can only get black, red or silver.

Also, can someone explain how to find the coupe on the configurator cited above?
