R58 Just saw the Coupe!
#26
Saw the coupe at Irvine Mini this afternoon. It was a black/silver S. As others have said, pictures do not do this vehicle justice. So much better up close and personal.
Roomy inside, very much like a "regular" cooper in the front area. Getting in and out may take some extra caution for some folks. I am 6 foot, more long legged than torso. I banged my head a couple of times, until I lowered the seat all the way.
The mortaring advisor that drove the car from Crevier to Irvine was quite impressed. He said a much different experience than other coopers due to the shape of the cockpit.
Now....come on week 39!!!!! That boat ride over is going to seem like forever!!

Man these cars are expensive. I think If I were buying a Justacoupe it would be justa the bare minimum to keep the price down. Otherwise you might as well go S at minimum. Guess it all depends on the dough you have and how you want to spend it.

When I bought my 2004 MINI Cooper, I wasn't interested so much in performance, so I put my money into premium options like Panther Black Profile leather seats, Premium Package, Harman/Kardon stereo, leather shift boot and handbrake covers, etc. Even then it was under $21,000!
So this time I went for performance with the JCW and kept it basic except for the H/K stereo which is a must-have. I probably would have paid $1,000 for the Lounge Leather seats but not $2,000.
