i didnt realize that you could order the JCW dash as an option. It doesnt come up in the configurator

The JCW dash is a carbon black topper panel, black leatherette door armrests and textured black dash panel.

So basically a black color line + dash panel. It's in the configurator but you'll have to see it in person to decide if it's worth $1000.

True. I'd rather not have all the red stitching or shift-pattern ****, actually. I'm disappointed that you no longer get the JCW Anthracite instrument panels standard; it's now a crazy $1,000 option.

Lightning blue/silver S Coupe. I'm choosing a departure for the interior and will include English oak, toffee color line & cloth/toffee leather.....love the diamond pattern. What fun for a sports coupe!

Sounds like the HK is probably worth getting....CWPack & PPack....auto dimming for all mirrors. The chrome line interior will be new for me....and the alarm too. Sitting in a cockpit will be the biggest change of all.

Does the JCW Aerokit have a chrome or black grille surround? The 2011 MINIs with it have a chrome one, but the MINI USA Configurator for the Coupe shows it as black. I'd prefer to have chrome.

On the Configurator the Cooper S with JCW Aerokit and the JCW Hardtop both have a chrome grille surround. But the JCW Coupe has a black one. So I don't know what my Coupe will have.

According to this (taken from the configurator), you are supposed to get a "gloss black surround" on the grill and not a chrome one when you purchase the JCW Package:

It's all so very confusing now isn't it. Different information every which way you turn. I guess we'll know for sure once some of the new JCW Coupes/Coupes with JCW Package start showing up at the dealers. Shouldn't be too much longer now.

The Italian configurator shows the JCW and S Coupes with a chrome gas cap as standard. You can't even order the chrome gas cap in the US. Weird

Yes, strange stuff indeed. I was under the impression that because the Coupe was based upon the Convertible, that there wasn't room for the traditional chrome-style gas cap.

I am interested to see a real sample of Laguna Green before I order anything. But I do like BRGII with the silver roof and stripes.

I really don't want to buy a new car...but this is quite tempting. Of course I also need to drive it first to see some things first hand. I would never order one sight unseen.

I am on the fence about MINI Connected, but I prefer the screen in the dash over the regular speedo. Until they make it compatible with Android it is useless to me though. I would go for the rest of the technology package though anyway so adding it doesn't hurt so much.
