Has anybody's Coupe orders moved into Production status yet? Last I heard, mine was scheduled for production pack, no confirmed build date. What status is everybody else? Guess the Coupe line doesn't start building until next week. Anybody have any more information?

 

Exact same situation here. No change at all. I'm hoping that by Monday or Tuesday it will have a build date.

 

I am wondering if I should try to change my wheels from the 17" Blk Conical to the 17" Blk Star Bullet. Any thoughts?

Okay, I made the final change on the Coupe S (yet-to-be-named). Added the Star wheels.

Got bad news from my MA this afternoon. Apparently all vehicles with Mini Connected and/or Nav systems have been delayed due to availability of components. Apparently, they are still facing supply issues from the tsunami in Japan.

I got delayed from week 36 to week 39. Hope needed components become available by then. No.......no more delays :-(

I had seen that as well. I work for a Japanese company and we continue to have supply issues. We are getting things, but the fill rates are not back to 100%. For my company, September seems to be the magic month for full production to return.

Now, it could be that supplies are available earlier than week 39 so others scheduled say in week 38 are not affected. Perhaps my dealers orders got pushed to that week due to available slots in the production line? Week 36 is poof, gone for me though. It is starting to look like a mid November delivery for me :-(

 

Does anyone know if the MINI plant still operates 7 days a week with 3 shifts?

 

I don't know for sure, but I would assume so. As it's most likely the only way that thay can keep up with the worldwide volume of MINIs that need to be produced.

 

Yes and they are adding extra capacity.

 

I did not order navigation, so maybe my Coupe will get bumped up to an earlier spot than week 40.

 

I checked with my dealer today since I had Mini Connected.

I was originally Production Week 38.. and I am now Production Week 39 like jbs111.

Seems to be true and that Mini Connected and/or Mini Connected + GPS will delay you to Week 39 if you were any production week prior. Also - I am the only MINI Coupe on order at my dealership still.. And this has been 4 weeks after I last checked.

It appears these cars will be rare. Which I guess is good for residuals/resale value :P
