Mine still has no production time as well. Frankly I think the Mini system will be days behind the actual production date. At least it was the last 2 cars I ordered.
I quit asking about my production number in August since it didn't appear that MINI would issue October production numbers until September. My MA says he'll let me know as soon as he has it, but I will probably start asking again this weekend if I don't have one.
So are you going to sit in it? Do it do it. We need to know more. Plllease go and check it out and let us know what you think!
We did go sit in it. It was pretty much what I expected from reading around here. The roof is lower, so I hit my head on the roof unless I lower the seat, that might be a problem if I ever needed to wear a helmet in one (like at a track day). Also the headrests are a lot thicker than ours, this is common to all newer MINIs it seems. They caught me right on the shoulders until I raised them, again might be a concern when wearing a helmet. I forgot to check out the rear visibility. I spent quite a while playing withe MINI connected/Nav, but couldn't get my iPhone to work (I don't have the Ap, and audio wouldn't play over bluetooth, I suspect my phone is too old, its a 3G.) The boot is really cavernous and has a secret compartment under the floor at the front (where the back seats aren't).
We didn't drive it, I'm not sure they're doing test drives and the one they had was only an auto anyway. I'm not sure the Coupe is for us, we're happy with the hatchbacks and do occasionally use the back seat.
I have a hatchback now and love it. I keep the back seats down. I am short so the coupe did not bother me when I sat in it. And I like the sportier look ski
