Seems MINI has used several shades of blue on it's cars, the blue in the photos of the concept Coupe is paler than I like. The Lighting blue of the production coupe is darker? Color in photos and over the web is tricky, is there a photo that you think best shows the Lighting blue? Please paste or link.

 

Don't know how close you are to a dealer, but even if they do not have a car that color they do have painted meatal samples of available colors.

 

Lightning Blue looks similar to the blues of the past on R53's.

Google 'Hyper Blue' and I think it will be close to that. I think it isn't as dark as 'Indy Blue'

 

If its the same Lightning Blue they used on the hardtop, its about half a shade lighter than Indi Blue. Its quite a bit darker than hyper blue.

How dark it is depend on the lighting, here are a couple of ours:

Thanks jdurdick, I'd seen that photo, but wasn't sure what to think. I like the blue of the body, but what color is that roof? Maybe it's a very light blue, so ok. But I thought it might be silver, and the bluish tint was because the whole pic might be shifted towards the blue.

Now that I've seen other pics I guess that roof isn't the silver that's available on the production coupes

 

The Silver roof is Pure Silver, the same color as on the Clubman.

 

Now that is a beautiful Car!
