R58 How long will the struts on the rear hatch last

How long will the struts on the rear hatch last

The rear hatch on the R58 sure is heavy, anyone want to bet how long

those struts that hold it up will last? Don't get me wrong I love the car

and will be ordering a JCW before the end of the year.

I say 4 years. Maybe 5 if u don't open the boot much.

And then prop it open with a stick? I bet they are $$$ to replace I'll use the boot average to a lot.

R56 ones run about $25-30 each.

Wow, that's cheap, at that rate 3 years would be ok with me. The Coupe's might be more though.
