Two less on the road suits me fine. I would be just as happy to not see tons of Coupes sold. I like driving a car that doesn't show up every 10 minutes on the road like the standard R53/R56.

MINIs on the road I see a lot of period. But modded MINIs on the road like me I dont see very often. I hardly give much recognition to other stock minis lol.

But modded I can appreciate 100%.

Though a avid MINI enthusiast I notice other MINIs but as I drive a GP there is very little out there that catches my eye, something the one sighting of a Coupe on the road did. Still whatever works for you glad you like it, pretty sure on the MINI Coupe forum though your likely talking to the wrong audience lol.

I took mine to the track yesterday. Just to show not to go, still in the break in you know. Everyone stopped by to take a look. All the comments were positive.

+1 He is indeed a troll! Just ignore him.

Also, it's too bad that the R58 forum has a mod who also appears to hate the Coupe. The very least NAM could do is appoint a mod (such as Zyamfier or jamesday24) who actually owns (or will soon own) one of the cars being discussed in the forum that the mod moderates. Oy!

Hopefully I don't bring down the wrath of gray raven with this post. :P

And how is it overrated? Can you be specific how that is?

Guess gray raven doesn't want me saying anything about 2009r56jcw. He just moderates them out of existence. I guess free speech and personal opinion is limited. My posts haven't been personal, just pointing that r56 has made several trollish comments on a board designated to people interested in the coupe. All R56 has to offer the threads is "it's ugly" and calls it "toupe" in a failed attempt to be clever. I guess I should just play nice with the troll......nah. I didn't buy a coupe because I like to blend in and play nice.

If you could go back far enough in this forum, you will find the same remarks about other models that have been cast in the MINI net.The idea is to sell cars,to a larger group of people to make MONEY.What I don't understand is why people object to someones preference. Most people use their car for transportation, look at how many MINIS have been sold in this country, compared to how many are on this form. I believe in live and let live,or put another way, what is one man's meat,is another man's posion.Q

You know, the Pontiac Aztek may have been one of the most hideous models produced, but I appreciated that it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from everything else on the road. Same with the Scion XB, the revival of the VW Beetle, the PT Cruiser, the weird-looking BMW M Coupe from years back, whatever. Most are not my cup of tea but I absolutely hate bland, generic styles. Funny thing is, some of those sold fairly well ONLY because of the style. People DO want something different.

It's a tragedy just how boring vehicle design became from the 80s-90s. Anything to shake up what's on the road. I don't care if it looks like a cow on rollerblades. Just so long as it's not another Chevy Malibu or Toyota Camry clone.

The fact that some find the MINI Coupe unattractive does nothing to dampen my anticipation for the car. Being different is to be embraced, not shunned. It's the reason I bought my first MINI and why I brought the Coupe.

Think Different as one well known company says.

Good News For Brewster

The Grand Venus is now 22.5 nautical miles from PH. At the current rate of speed anticipated arrival time is in 2 hours and 9 minutes.

Brewster will be on his second to final leg home in just a short while. I can't wait to take delivery of the little beast and get him settled in next to Dotty. Dotty of course is my wife's R56.

This journey is finally coming to conclusion. Of course I may have to do it all over again in 2 years. I'll want to get the updated Coupe. I'm addicted to Mini's.

I have to say that I have never met a mini that I didn't like. I have owned 7 mustangs in the past 10 years, and have never seen an ugly mustang (well maybe the mustang II). But, I am not overly crazy for the coupe. The rear looks, shall I say "girly". Maybe, if I saw a JCW coupe with the aero kit, black wheels, and a dark color with the rear spoiler up, I might change my mind. It is still a mini, and still a sweet car, but I prefer the looks of my convertible, and countryman. That is why mini offers so many different body styles though.

I know exactly what your saying.

Yea the CM does not do it for me. I call it a "want to be". It's just the way I feel and that's why I would never own one. But I like the Mini as a brand just not that particular Mini.

I love the CM, Hardtops, and Convertibles.

Not a big fan of the Clubman only because of the way the coloring is handled on the rear headlight and back panels of the car. Though I hear 2012's can order those in the body color of the car now which helps.

rans09vert - You should see Zyamfiers Coupe. All black. Looks hot

I think PatM meant that the JCW Coupe will have the engine based on the one the other Coupes have now, not that the entire car will be remodeled.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I would prefer to stay out of the moderation game. Everyone has their opinion, if they do not agree with yours that is their right. It always flatters me that people take the time to put down something that I like or have an interest in. It just reminds me that due to my happiness someone wasted five minutes of their life trying to get to me. So now that I have wasted a minute to tell everyone about it I am still ahead four minutes. Think I will go outside and go for a drive. Have a great night! Whatever your opinion is.

THE NEW MINI COUPE. KICK-BUTT UGLY™.

None of the negative comments can change my mind about this MINI. I like MINIs with a contrasting roof and with the Coupe's unique design, I purposely ordered the Silver roof to emphasize it.
