The S Coupe POD has landed!!

OK, I'm checking and checking the boat tracking sites, waiting to see my status change to discharged off boat - at VDC - or SOMETHING and I finally give up around 2PM today.

Then as I'm trying to activate my new iPhone for about the third hour, I get an email from my buddy Mark at MINI of Peabody - Holy Crap!! My car is at the dealer!!!

And best of all - They made it just as I ordered - white silver with a SILVER roof and mirror caps!! WOW!!! It's going to be a one of a kind I think, as MINI USA will not let you configure WS with a Silver roof. I guess my early ordering strategy paid off!!

Invis-a-Shield first thing Monday, then I'm OFF!!!!!

I know I'm biased but the 2 silvers together look awesome! Seems like something James Bond would drive on the weekends

Going to head up there tomorrow AM and give her a look live and in person.

I'm very surprised MINI actually built that combination but it looks good from that photo. Be sure to get more photos better showing the difference in the two Silvers.

I didn't think they would do it!

But I'm psyched they built it per my spec. It's weird because you can order the 2 silver combo on the MINI UK site configurator, but you are required to add the stripes. the Italian site lets you build this combo, but your wheel choices are different. Weird.

I will most certainly take copious amounts of pics tomorrow when I go visit her!

Dumbfounded that it actually got built that way. Congrats! Looking forward to a lot more photos to show off the 2 silvers.

Whoever is in charge of the marketing strategy for MINI USA does the same thing with the MINI apparel.......drives me nuts because they have better choices for the clothing line across the pond....now paint schemes and config's too

Nothing new. Back in the day you could get an Electric Blue Justacooper in the UK but it was an MCS-only color here.

If Bond drove that, it would fit in the garage with the the wife's CM.

Interesting color combo. Are the pix showing that the top is quite a bit lighter/whiter than the car? Cause the mirror caps actually look silver in color whereas the top looks almost white. I know, lighting in pix makes stuff look different that the eye, but I'm interested in what the different colors look like to the owner.

There is still a protective white cover film on the roof and a glare to the side.

OK - Here's a better picture with all the wrappings removed! This is white silver with silver roof and mirror caps!

you can definitely see why they call it "white silver"

Gorgeous! White silver is definitely one of my all time fav MINI colors. Would you have been able to get the roof/mirrors in white silver also?

Congrats, enjoy and keep the pics coming!

Just a personal opinion, but I am not sure of the combination. Looks odd to me.

You have to see it in person

to get the true sense of how nice it looks. The 2 silvers are so close it almost looks as though it is a single color. BUT, when the sun hits it just right - the white silver has a lovely sheen, and the purer silver of the roof makes you do a double take.

And as we all know, the only coupe you can purchase in the USA in white silver requires a black roof. In my opinion, a MINI in white (pepper or white silver) seems to look nicer with a roof in body color. I knew it would be a slightly different shade, but it reeks of class when you see it "in the flesh".

I felt that a black roof with the almost black glass of the rear side windows and the dark interior just wouldn't look right. Some will love it. Some will hate it. Others just won't "get it".

I grin like a kid who just got a new toy on Christmas every time I get in it, get out of it, or walk out my front door and see it waiting for me to start it up!! And that of course is what matters the most!!

Kurt

You can get a red roof too if you go with a JCW Coupe.

I went with white silver/black for my Coupe as I think it looks great. I like the white silve/silver as well though. It's very cool that you won't be seeing any others like it on the road.
