R58 anybody wrap the roof?
#4
I've got an R53 Electric Blue, with a white roof. I've got the vinyl stripes on the bonnet, boot and sides. The top has been wrapped in the same vinyl. The bonnet stripes, and the roof have ghost flames that aren't easy to see, unless in the right lighting conditions.
All of the vinyl has held up really well. I just moved to Las Vegas, so we'll see how they hold up over time. All I can say is it looks great, and most people don't realize the roof was wrapped.
Sorry for the bad pic, I'll see if I can get a better one.

Had my CR Cooper roof done in full roof graphic when it was 4 months old. The only problem I ever had with it was the corners peeled up just a tiny bit, maybe 1.4352 millimeters.
But unless you were a foot away from the corners of the roof, you'd never notice it. And as pew stated, most people didn't even know it was a vinyl wrap.

I'll be interested to see how wrapping a Coupe roof turns out. The rear roof spoiler is gonna be a tough nugget to wrap properly. There are a lot of compound curves back there and with that split at the middle of it I just don't see how it can be done without seams (which would drive me bonkers).
My guess is they're not planning to wrap the underside and just wrap it enough so the visible portion will be covered. That's one thing about the Coupe roof compared to others. There's really no area to tuck and hide the edging like most roofs (including other model 1st/2nd gen MINI's).
