So here's your brand new mini.... torn apart... poor thing.

Parts sanded, primed, sand and blocked, reprimed and sanded again.

First prime with guide coat and some that have been wet sanded.

Going into paint shop today... will have color on them by closing time.

Enjoy... :D

Disregard the following. I just noticed that you said it is an R58.

Hard to tell from the pics, but your top looks shiny. Is that a Roadster with some sort of hard top? If so, where did you get it?

I remember when it all was in one piece. Seems like only yesterday. Wait, I hadn't had the car a week before you had it in pieces. Can't wait to see it all painted up. I spent hours installing my LED fogs/DRLs without removing the bumper. If I had known you'd have it off anyway this soon I'd have waited. Moving that washer fluid tank wasn't easy.

Don't worry, we'll get it back together as close to factory as possible. I've been watching some Youtube videos.

:D

I plan on it. I wish I could find clear replacements instead. That's what I've done on previous cars. I just haven't found any available for the MINI yet.

I just don't understand why they're so hard to find. I've just about given up and concluded that no one makes them

You want your lights smoked?? Let me know. Side markers? Headlights, taillights?

Just tell me now before I get it together.

Definite improvement !

Not only looks better, but no more worries about getting wax in the fender trim or having to treat it every few months to keep it looking good.

Sweet, now it needs some striking graphics to bring it up another level, Only in my opinion.

I suspect the owner probably wants to keep it pure!

Nice work, btw are you still driving the P car?

It really came out fantastic. Makes the car look special. I have to nitpick and say I wish the amber reflector was as dark as possible lol.

I personally would have made them darker but the owner wanted them to be consistent with his taillights and didn't want to deal with inspection fights and stuff.

Dark or not, they definitely look better than stock.

That you have to check with the owner. (Ajrdu) They're actually really cool. When you turn on the foglights, they're bright as all get out. But when you turn on the parking lights and turn on the foglights, the ring around the outside automatically dims. (I may have that feature backwards)

I'm sure Ajrdu can explain it better.

Those are the LED fogs from OutMotoring. They work as DRLS. When you start the car during the day with your headlights off and the DRL function of the car to off, the ring of LEDS lights super bright. When you turn on the parking lamps or headlights they dim down. They also have a fog lamp in the center that functions via the fog switch in the car. There is a thread about them somewhere. They are great and function exactly like they should. I love them.

Thanks. Mark did a fantastic job. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. In the end I just trusted him with the details and I couldn't be happier. I stop at a gas station and a chic-fil-a on the way home to Raleigh and was asked 3 times what kind of car it was and was told how cool it looked.

I like it but not my style. Some cool graphics would spice it up but that's just me. Cool work though.

And all of these functions work simply by plugging them in to the OEM connector on a Gen2 with factory fog lights? No reprogramming of computer?
