Qwik, we have different wheels!

I'll bet our interiors a bit different too!

But clearly related!

CR&PW&JB ...I don't think I told you but, a BIG thank you for your advice on getting the leather seats!

They are wonderful. Thank you sir!

In other news...

I just spent the past 30 minutes or so trying to figure out what I accidentally pressed on the ambient lighting to get it to stay on continually. (first night time experience)

Um.....yeah.

They, uh, stay on all the time. So, if you get tired of it or want it low key the best you can do is lower the intensity.

I didn't have that issue with the R53. You got nothing and liked it.

So glad you are happy with that decision, Sir!

I've had two Justas with the Leatherette and it's OK. But it doesn't belong in a JCW Coupe!

I may have the checkerboard ones sent out to be made leather eventually, or look for a set of OEM leather seats at some point, but I just can't bring myself to spend that much on seats.

I'm on the fence on black wheels or silver. I could go either way.

I'll post pics once it arrives. Yours looks terrific! Congrats.

Thanks everyone!

I love this car!

Kurtster--Those leather seats are a bit overpriced (especially with only two seats) but I'm really glad I got them! They are worth a little wheelin and dealin time pitting dealerships against the other to help manage the cost.

and, of course, I'm going to vote for black wheels!

What's your order looking like?

What's wrong with using your iPhone 5 with MINI Connected? That's what I intend to do. Should work fine.

Not Average sale happening today and I'm out of state so my order should be finalized Monday. I'm going with the Recaros, not the wheels. I can buy wheels later.

iPhone 5 + Lightening connector = no iPod output (no plugin) to display on your car like it used to on iPhone 4.
Send to car (for easy navi addresses) do not seem to be working.

they need to fix above. $2750 option not working as intended (or advertised) is frustrating.

So Apple's 30-pin to Lightning connector adaptor still doesn't work? It's worked with every accessory I have so far.

they work fine as far as charging, playing music via multimedia center, hearing voice guided navigation via iPhone 5 etc...

Now I'm even more confused. What exactly doesn't work properly?

if the functionality of miniconnected is important to you, you should read last couple pages of the link i posted.
not all of the functions MINI originally intended and advertised work with the new iPhone 5 due to new port on the phone.

Just read the thread. I have no interest in making my dash display an iPod interface. I didn't even know that was ever an option and I don't need it. I fully expected to navigate the iPhone with MINI's tools for that. No functionality appears to have been lost, just an alternative way of viewing. I'm not at all concerned. Definitely looking forward to using it.

iPhone still has some navigational problems to work out with the 5, but they'll get it worked out. As for some of the functions that are suppose to work with the Mini Connect, give them a little time. The iPhone 5 is only one month old and all smart phones have their problems at first. Patience!!!!!
