R59 Color is Key!

Red is great! But unfortunately every red vehicle I have owned I have had an accident in. I have owned 15 vehicles over the years, 2 were Red and both were wrecked in accidents involving another motorist not paying attention and hitting me from the rear while stopped. For me Red is out!
In theory red is easier to see - hence all those red fire engines. I'm guessing color doesn't really matter though if the other driver isn't paying attention in the first place.
The only car we've owned that was rear-ended was... wait for it... blue!

Wow, I can see why you'd avoid red!

Damn! You had to go and post that picture. Now as I have stated. This color looks awesome in this picture and awesome under Halogen Spotlights but in true light just no "POP" Now this still may be my color. If 99% of all demo Roadsters weren't Silver I may have been able to see one in Lightning. Ive narrowed it down to Silver or this. I think it would be cool to have a Shelby with Silver stripes and a smaller clone type car with the same color combo.

But man, they look good...

Thanks - doesn't look *too* bad, although I'm always concerned when a TIS is mentioned - sometimes those are unfindable and contain important info.
Might take a run at that. On the other hand, you'd think the experienced techs at the dealer would be able to do those in an hour or two, so about $200. Might be worth it - I'm much happier with wrench work versus body work.

There would have been one in St. Louis, but my wife's vote was for something brighter. I was leaning towards a more classic look. Since a lot of the other decisions on the car were mine, no way could I argue with one of the few areas where she had a strong opinion.
Looking forward to seeing some pics of that car!

That's very close to the one we ordered yesterday. Lightning blue with JCW package and black stripes and mirror caps. Couldn't get the black headlights for some reason (ordered adaptive xenons with white turn signals). I like the black conicals. May end up with a set of them sometime in the future.
