I ordered the Platypus license mount from OutMotoring. I hate that I have to have front plates, but I'll be damned if I'm going to drill into the bumper!
The Platypus fits into the front tow hook, so you don't need to drill.

Cherohala skyway

Well, we didn't make it to the MINIS ON THE DRAGON event, but we arrived on Sunday 5/5 during a nice rain. This picture was taken on the Cherohala Skyway on Monday. We had a great time and my Roadster handled every corner like a dream!

Going to get the Hotchkiss sway bar and links put on tomorrow. Looking forward to see how it all works out. Next is doing the BSH Catch can. Maybe next week after the Missouri trip this weekend.
I'll see if I can post a picture Lil Raggi in my garage with the wind screen on.

I had the screen inserted the day I picked up Matilda.... I have kept it on ever since , and plan to keep it on ... Don't know what effect it has, since I've never driven without it...
Love this car!!!

I would be curious to experiment with the wind screen. If it's not helping much, might not be worth further limiting the rear sightlines.

I don't find the rear sight lines ( windscreen ) bothersome.... Backing out of a parking space is another story... The windscreen doesn't affect this, the rag top does...

I can't disagree with you more, inky case. Driving this this evening, at about 7:00 iwas driving east, the rear view mirror is useless. About an hour later, going west, while not useless this time, but only about 30% visibility, guess I'll be learning how to get this unit in and out a lot. Just my opinion, but..........

Not optimal, but I have been able to handle what is behind me using the rear view mirror in combination with the door mirrors.... I'm pleased with this, since I was really concerned with sight lines before buying the car .... So I don't feel compelled to remove the windscreen , yet... Again, when I backup , I say a prayer... Because, as you know , with the top up you have blind spots to what is approaching from either side....
Best,
John

As I mentioned earlier, with the top up it is just ok and I also like driving it better with the windscreen down. But take the top down, put the windscreen up and let it roll! Then I say even in windy West Texas- the R59 can't be beat! I love it and can't get enough of it! In a day or so I will hit 1200 miles and I am going to find a nice long straight away and cut loose on it! Hope the Highway Patrol will understand, if they happen to be out! ! Lol.

The problem I have discovered is the auto-dimming rear view mirror does not work properly because the rear spoiler raises up and blocks the headlights from the car behind. You can actually see the shadow caused by the spoiler that ends just above the sensor so you get the full headlights in your eyes but the sensor is in the shadow. The sensor needs to be at the top of the mirror.

Yep, I've noticed this same issue. I just ended up leaving the wind screen in place all the time to help diffuse the lights of the vehicles behind. If I had it to do all over again, I would eliminate the auto-dimming mirror from my options list.

This has also led me to mount my V1 high and to the left of the RVM (rather than below it) as a matter of routine to ensure optical light-of-sight is maintained both fore and aft with the spoiler deployed. Seems to work fine in that location.

Sorry...getting a bit off-topic in this "pictures" thread again...

I got what I thought were a couple of better shots of Lil Raggi yesterday and thought I'd post them. Also put the Craven Platypus on, but that was after these were taken. Here he is in all his glory!
