TG, I had my bonnet, front bumper, and fenders done. They normally also provide coverage for the mirror caps, but since I have the chrome caps, I didn't have my mirror caps done.

Really relieved to finally have the protection up front.
Did you have the MINI dealer install the Clear Bra, or did you use an outside vender? I'm unsure what the going price is, as well as the difference between dealer and vendor prices.

The dealers always subcontract with a local service provider. You have to use specific tools to install the protective film. My installer was a local installer. My understanding is that you can negotiate lower prices than what the dealers offer.

Thanks. I thought I once heard $500 mentioned, but I'm unsure.

I'm on the fence with the clear bra... On one hand I hate paint damage, on the other hand I love a waxed car!

My clear bra is rather polished in look, but also, a light polish can be used on the clear bra anyway. Our Lil Raggi is Pepper White And it is almost impossible to tell where the clear bra starts and ends. Also, I didn't have the hood done on account of the line they make. The clear bra has already saved the paint on my front bumper already. Like yesterday!

You can get a full hood clear cover. No line.

I imagine that's expensive.

I did the full hood clear bra, top of rear bumper and door handle insets. It looks great and does a great job of protecting the paint. Cost was $700. Not cheap but I was very pleased.

Dave, was that from the dealer, or independent shop?

Nothing like the unexpected "Cooper" or "Mini" sign of opportunity. Glad you captured it!

I wonder how many of us would confess to snapping a portrait in front of a "Mini-Storage" Unit? I know I have.

Got off my duff today and put some wax on Lil Raggi today. That Pinnacle wax works really great. Easy to use and makes him look even better.

thank you for the thumbs up. Starting to think about Winter tires for Lil Raggi. I drove in some snow with these tires, believe it or not in May in snow, but I don't think that I can go thru this next Winter with them. I used Michelin ICE's on the JCW, but I might try Blizzaks this time. Price and performance.

I got 17" run flat Blizzaks from Tire Rack last winter and had zero problems, see my thread here for more details. I got them ready mounted on some nice Enkei rims with TPMS sensors. Alex at Tire Rack will hook you up.

Here's mine.

Some of the pictures I had taken while on vacation in Colorado in August 2013.

You know its going to be a good MINI road when the road sign points sideways and not up.

Hi Gil,
How do you like driving your roadster in the snow? Does the severely raked windshield effect your driving at all?
Thanks for your time!
