Just collected this afternoon. Bad camera phone pics as the sun was low and bright at a tricky angle.

Nice RHD R59 JCW in spice orange, like the NZ licence plate also.

Well done mak. Not only do you have an entry in the contest, but you scored the banner photo as well.

See, living up on the tundra does have its advantages!

@ Karl:
I just got an email from MINI about the new one.

Thanks guys! That Roadster pic was the runner up in that contest 2 months ago, but MINI still chose to use it somewhere! I think that's really cool! Especially with the Roadster, you don't see MINI showing pics of them too often. There like a MINI hidden gem that's there, but not really advertised. lol

Thanks TG and others.

Is orange that rare? It was at the dealer and they wanted to deal on it, so I took it home, but I like it.

Hopefully the flaps will help it stop getting as dirty, and I've finally found a decent touchless wash nearby that I can use when I'm not able to wash it at home: http://www.walpolecarwash.net/

Just got the chrome scoop last week. I'm waiting for better weather so I can get the stripes off, clay the car, touch up the stone chips, and get the scoop and the clear bra on.

When I tried to go to the site - Webroot (My anitvirus) said it was dangerous. Proceed with caution

hey Spiney. The car looks great! and the mud flaps aren't bad either
You'll have to keep us posted on how much difference it really makes (or where you see the most improvements) . . . and be honest!

That's one thing I have noticed with the roadster so far... the side panels gets dirty really quickly. And road grim seems to stick to the paint easily...

Sometime it's not the site that's dangerous. It's the adds that goes through...

Interesting... It's got a little bit of JavaScript, and a Facebook plugin. Can't see anything else of note.

Today I'm able to go right in without it stopping me. Strange, maybe the anti-virus had the site listed accidentally. Sorry to bring it up, but i favor safe over sorry.

I must be honest here . . . I'm not a big fan of that style and for the roadster :p BUT I do appreciate all the attention you put on your roadster so

As long as your happy then they're pretty awesome!

Now what are those tires you're driving with on a snowy day??? these thing must be spinning at every acceleration . . . just be careful

This is 2 blocks from my house. It was out of the garage for about 10 minutes. I am going out of town for a while and figured ill get it ready so my wife can bring it to visit me. Ill probably take it out in daylight to get some better pictures, other than that its gonna be hibernating till spring. And who knows when ill see it next! Ill be taking my truck so I can bring some rc planes with me. Lol

I hear you. Our summer set is also hibernating...
It's okay though. Our Michelin X ice3 haven't been bad at all to drive with this winter. They seem to still keep a nice sporty feel to them. Nothing like the summer tires of course but still very good.
And considering the winter we've had I'm pretty pleased with the decision to ditch the run flats for summer+winter wheels combo

Glad you didn't go for all matt black, the silver accents help. They look more like 20's than 18's though, quite the optical illusion going on there!

Daylight! You are right... They do look huge. Must be because of so much open space in between the spokes. I like it! Also if you hadn't yet noticed I had painted the brake calipers since they will now be on display during the summer. LOL

I did notice that, and I like them. I had thought about asking if you got JCW brakes, what did you think of them, etc. Guess I won't bother now, unless red paint improved your stopping distance!
