Sweet roadsters guys . . . as always

@ Scotty: Nice flair on the silver head lights! even if it is by accident (not spending more money possibly, adk)
Are these the standard xenon?

I've been eyeing on the xenon 25W retrofit but I don't know I want to move away from the silver headlights I do like and makes the car a little less alien looking (which the black xenon tend to do, just me ) . . . maybe I just like the classic feel of the bigger lights on the MINI for some reason...

Hey! My BUSTER arrived in Baltimore on 5/19/13. Of course I didn't see him in Chicago until 5/29/13. Hopefully you'll have your new Roadster sooner. Can't wait for the pics.

@TG, thanks. I went with the adaptive lighting (which turns with the steering). I would have liked to do the black xenon, but it wasn't available with the adaptive lighting kit. (probably actually spent more...). And I loooove the adaptive lighting when driving thru the canyons at night; it really makes a difference. And it's a bit trippy to see the lights swing back to center when you come out of the turn.

I think blacking out the trim made a big difference too; the silver xenon and chrome surround was a bit much; but I think the black surround ties in nicely with all the other black trim.

Nice clean work @dosomething. I like the custom JCW side scuttles too.

@jobrando - I understand exactly how you feel (was right there last month). Get a good hat and lots of sunscreen, 'cause you'll take any excuse to drive in the first 2 weeks just to get thru the break-in period.

Thanks ScottyM. the self-made side scuttles: JCW emblems were recycle from my ex-R53 JCW carpet. something different, but I like it too.
I ordered some goodies from outmortoring last week, all the parts should be arrive later this week.

And a closeup of the blackout trim on the tail light and the interior (piano black dash with toffee color line).

I had the some struggle when ordering my Roadster, ScottyM. The black headlamp housing won over the adaptive function.

This is exactly why I need to move out West

Very nice Gil
I'd photohop that pole out so it's not so distracting. It shouldn't be too hard

I don't think we've seen BUSTER dirty. With your exterior, you can't afford to let the dirt settle in. But it sure looks awesome clean!

I get teased endlessly about how no one ever sees BUSTER dirty. It's amazing what 15 minutes and a waterless wash can do for a black paint finish.
