Just wanted to say thanks for this thread, I have a 2012 JCW coupe and already ordered the NM springs, the info about the spacers you used is exactly what I was looking for!

Just ordered the same 12mm spacers and bolts!

I can't stop staring at the interior. And of course now I'm trying to find some toffee seats. Haha.

bluetoy love the car and the suspension set-up. I have a 2013 hardtop with nm springs and was thinking about spacers. Your posts were perfect! The only question I have is what size wheels and tires are you running and do you have any problems with the tires rubbing the fender trim?

Hi Grey

For my summer set-up, I'm running 18X8 ET 40, tires are 205/40/18

For winter set-up in the past, stock Challenge wheels 17X7, 205/45/17 12mm spacers. No rubbing with either set-up.

I can't even begin to tell you how much consternation this mod has caused me. Big investment...but damn it is so nice (and would fit right into my interior scheme).

Steven, do you ever have concerns about this item getting nicked? I see YouTube videos that show how the MINI steering wheel can be completely removed in 30 seconds. It would make me hesitant to leave it parked in public areas with the top down. I might even feel compelled to invest in one of these:

LOL, I totally get the consternation regarding the Nexon steering wheel. It's stupidly expensive...and totally worth it. It wasn't an easy decision for me, but in the end, it's what I wanted. And you are right Gary, it would be sick with what you have already done with your interior. It is the one big thing you interact with. Do I worry about it, I try not to.

Does anyone know of a place that sells a complete de-chrome pack that would save me money over buying the pieces separate? Front and rear light chrome rings, the belt, etc. ?

We have the parts in kits for the HL and TL sections.

Headlight Trim Ring Jet Black - Set Part # 51132254895KT

Tailights Part number 51132296297KT

Additional Turn Indicator Light / Black Line - Priced Each Part # 63132225809

Side scuttles in black. Part # 63137260203

&

Side Turn Signal Grille - Right Part # 63137260204

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/63137260204/

-------------------------------------------------

Or

And just the taillights / trims / side turn signals in the black line kit:

Part # 63212320381

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/63212320381/

On the belt-line you would have to buy the 3M materials and then run a strip all the way around to black out the belt line. MINI does not have a OEM kit. It can also be used for other non factory items and matches very well to the black line gloss trim.

Thanks and good luck.

Interior-Carbon...

I installed another small piece of interior carbon fiber trim. I borrowed this idea from Gil-Galad I sourced this from carbonmini.com Their carbon pieces are superb, and they are great to deal with.

I will be asking them if they can create the piece that sits right under the Nav screen…I think it would finish the center console nicely.

That looks brilliant, agreed that bit under the nav screen would finish it off perfectly

Winter Wheel/Tires

I just got my winter tire/wheels installed. These are the Enkei EV5's and I mounted my previous set of 17" Conti DWS's.

Great minds think alike! I inquired a couple of weeks ago about the possibility of producing a piece to fit that space. Perhaps our combined interest helped the cause (though I have yet to receive an email response).

OBTW, as is the norm for me, I'm attempting to hold out until Black Friday to mount the winter wheel/tire set. We'll see...

Love your winter wheels.

Hello Steven,

I have a question about the instal of the GP2 front under tray. When I tried to instal the under tray, there were holes in the sub-frame for the quick release screws, but there were no inserts for the screws to screw into. Did your kit come with nylon inserts and/or metal tabs to place in the holes? I purchased my under tray from the dealer, and their exploded view does not include the receiving parts diagram, i.e., the sub-frame points where the quick release screws are inserted.

Any help would be appreciated.

~ Alan
