R59 Anyone seen another Roadster on the road yet?

Saw my first Roadster in Santa Monica this evening, White S parked in front of Veggie Grill on Wilshire. I've been on the lookout since February, and especially since I ordered mine in July (still waiting on delivery). I'm surprised I haven't seen more of them out here though, as MINIs are pretty popular in this area (there are at least 6 on my block alone).

I have an R58s, and I've been seeing more roadsters pop up then I have coupes! Yesterday I pulled up right next to one on the freeway and waved. It was a red and black color scheme..very nice. Two days before that I saw my cars fraternal twin, an eclipse gray roadster with black stripes and all. I'm definitely seeing more roadsters then coupes. The ratio that I've seen as of now is seriously like 7 to 1 haha. I think roadsters are selling better then the coupes?.

Me too! My BMW dealer has a Facebook page where they post pictures of the owners and their new cars. The page shows 2 Roadsters sold since I purchased mine. One to an older couple who traded in their Audi convertible and has the caption "never too old for a sports car"

I took delivery of my 2013 Roadster on August 12 and haven't seen another on yet. I asked my MA when I got it how many they had delivered in St. Louis so far (both 2012 & 2013 models). The answer was about 15. The odds of seeing one of those 15 in Metro St. Louis is next to zero I think.
I haven't got mine yet, but have been looking out for one for the last few months and have not seen one either.

MsBrit, I will look for you. Mine is Pepper White with black stripes and black wheels. I live in Lake Saint Louis and work in Overland just east of Westport so I travel a lot from St. Charles County on I70, I270, and Page Avenue. Where did you buy your Roasdster? MINI of St. Louis or elsewhere?

Will keep my eyes out for you. Are you a member of the St Louis MINI Club yet? Fun group! I've been a member since 2003 when I had my first MINI (member #61). Bought my first 4 MINI's from St Louis, but bought my Roadster from Indianapolis.

I thought I might have been one of the first roadsters on the dragon, but when I went back to look at the pictures they take, there was another one there exactly one week before me, with two people who could have been my wife and I. Same Chili S roadster.
I do love how many people comment on the car. It's amazing - and a heck of a lot of fun.

Finally saw my first "non- MINI corporate" Roadster on the road this past Saturday morning, and it was the same color as mine. Saw it on going East on I-64 in Fairview Heights, IL while I was going west to meet up with some MINIacs to motor the wine country in Southern MO.

Here is another great drive in the St. Louis metro area. From Hwy 47 about halfway between Troy and Winfield, take State Hwy W north all the way to Clarksville. This is a really fun trip with lots of hills and curves. For the return, you can reverse the route or take Hwy 79 north out of Clarksville then State Hwy D west back to Eolia. This is not as curvy, but a pretty drive.
By the way, MsBrit, was that you I saw eatbound on I-70 near O'Fallon, MO, around 3:00 p.m. a couple of weeks ago?

Thanks for the heads up on the "twisty" roads, but I do believe I have been on all of those roads. A group of us do an annual "eagle" run in Jan-Feb going through/by Winfield and Hwy W (we also have a friend who lives in Silex) so those roads are very familiar to us. We also do the Hwy 94 to Balducci Winery annually. Lots of good roads in that area.
And, sorry no it was not me you saw. I have been in that area, but not lately. Maybe some other time.

My son lives in Prairie Village on 71st Terrace near Roe and has seen a Roadster near there several times. I forgot to ask him what color, though.

I see you have good taste also. Our two roadsters are not identical twins, but close enough. What kind of wheels do you have? Aftermarket? I just got a set of ASA AR1s, black with machined lip mounted with my winter tires from Tire Rack. They have a modular look but are actually one-piece. BTW I'll look for you when I'm in KC...probably not in my roadster, though. Not enough room to travel with wife, all of wife's luggage, and the dog.
