No better place for Italian. Have fun.
My old office for 10 years was on the corner of North Washington and Causeway St., with a view of the USS Constitution.

In Orlando we see Roadsters all the time.
Well, last Saturday my MCS hardtop stated making a rattling sound in the engine compartment. This is our 4th Mini after a 2004 MCS, 2005 MCS Convertible (at the same time), 2008 MCS and 2008 MCS Clubman (at the same time). We had traded the Clubman for a much needed Mercedes Sprinter Van for our business. That left us with the 2008 MCS making the noise.
The dealer immediately knew what it was and took it into the shop while we waited. My wife walked out to a red with black stripe MC Roadster, fully loaded with nav system (not JCW). While the MCS was fixed at no cost, we test drove the Roadster. My wife exclaiming the entire time, "We don't need a new car." THen she demanded that I pull over and let her drive. Then we ran the numbers, now we own the Roadster. I have to say, this car is somewhat more fun than the MCS. We haven't had the top up yet, except when parked.
If you see a Red Roadster with black strips running around Orlando, say hi.

My wife went in for her 30K mile checkup and came out with a 2013 Clubman S

HEY MINI...,WHERE'S THE WAVE???
Traditionally when roadster drivers cross paths a WAVE is expected.... I haven't seen a Mini Roadster, yet... But I have given and received waves from drivers of other roadster models...
I have made it a point, however, to give a wave to all Minis, with disappointing results... I think I'm at a 20% success rate... Maybe they don't recognize that Matilda is a Mini; maybe they don't know the rules / tradition ; or maybe they just don't give a crap, and don't want to play.
I have a major sun/ wind burn on my face...

I've noticed in the past couple of years that there are less and less waves. Even from the 1st generation Mini's. Maybe after awhile they get tire of the waving. Me? I still wave, well at least 80% of the time Sometimes I have something else on my mind. Finally able to get some top down time in this weekend. Got a little of that Sun in the face and wind burn. Not bad, just enough for color. Boy these roadsters are fun.

Bring the Wave Back.......
I wave at every MINI I see, unless I'm on auto pilot. Seems to depend on the time of day and whether that person is paying attention to the world. In my experience more men than woman wave.
Also the size of the vehicle. It's hard to miss a Jeep Wrangler on huge tires.
Most Jeep folks wave unless they are driving someone else's Jeep.
Oh, yea, the Roadster in Bethany Beach Delaware waved back, it's easy to see the crazy guy (Me) waving his arms with the top down. My wife always thought waving to other Jeep's was weird, she waves all the time to MINI's.

Hey Spiney I like your signature. My wife also has a clubman. I wonder how many guys have a roadster while their wives have a clubman.
