We have 2 dogs, one puggle and one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, i.e. the needy princess! and yes, they have not ridden in Sargent, the English Bulldog would kick their butt.....
Awesome, thanks for all of the info! You're right, my next mod is a IC so having someone post up their experience is great. Keep it coming and post photos ASAP!
Good luck.
Talked to Farzaan today and he said they have no problem tuning current ECUs on the Countryman. I may not have explained the issue very well, but he did not seem the least bit uncertain that they could do it.
Interestingly, he also strongly endorsed the Forge intercooler. Either Forge is paying all these guys to rep their product (unlikely) or they make one hell of a fine product.
If the Forge R56 intercooler fits (and I really believe it will) then we will know which brand and model to buy.

If I remember correctly, and not trying to give out too much info. They have some "insiders" over at BMW/BMC

i found a renntech dealer about 2 hours away. was going to ship but might as well drive there. 680 bucks seems like a good deal. now just have come home from vacation.
Called ECU Tuning Fremont office was setup to install on Monday, but their server are down, so can't tune my car till aug 5, but I'll be back to PNW. Awaiting instruction on removing the ECU and will probably ship down the ECU and get it tune

Nice! You'll be glad you did the tune.
Who's providing you the instructions or are you wanting them?
Just got the car tuned by Renntech.
Baseline at the wheels - 172.17 HP. 184.59 torque.
After tune - 194.45 HP. 241.23 torque.
I took delivery on 5/13/12 so the later production cars can definitely be tuned.

Nice! That's a massive torque gain! Can't wait to see what the tune will do with a downpipe and FMIC.
I was really surprised by the torque gain and by the baseline numbers. One of the best parts of the tune is its all in the sport button. Normal stock car til you press the sport button. I like that.

This is impressive!
Do you feel the difference compare to stock?
DKIKK77-- How did you get the tune by Renntech? (location & contact, by mail?) I'd like to do the same thing and need to know where to start.
I live close to the original Renntech location in Lake Park, FL. I went there and they said they could do it. I had heard good things about the tuner and the shop is one of the best around. I know you can send them your ecu. The one I went to is www.renntechmercedes.com but they have dealers all over. Any other questions just ask. Good luck.
Looks like I'll be joining these ranks next week. No local dealers, so have to ship the ECU off. Talking to Renntech, so we'll see how everything goes.
Is the tune can be deleted by the dealer during a scheduled maintenance? (ECU update)
Yes, if the dealership has a reason to update the ECU. That's not a common occurrence though, you would see it on the work order and know that it was updated.
With ETG Tuning Group who did my tune, they will redo it up to 3 times for you included in their original price.
