Lumbar Support Not Working

Just sat down in my '11 Countryman and felt the lumbar support kinda cave and a light pop sound. When I used to adjust it I felt a noticeable difference. Now - nothing. Anybody else had this issue ?

I have seen one or two reports here about his happening. I think both were on the passenger side if I recall.

I've had the driver side replaced twice under warranty, it did the exact same thing you describe, though i've never heard a pop.

The 120lb wife mostly drives, so I seriously doubt it's a weight thing.

My driver side lumbar support gave out after my last service, and they fixed it under warranty. When I asked about it, they said the original part was defective and they had a TSB with a revised part number.

I'm 6 feet tall, 180 lbs., and the lumbar support popped in my 2013 Countryman last week. I was stopped at a red light and sat back into the seat when I heard a light "pop" and then my lumbar went bye-bye.

When I ratchet up the support, and lean forward, the lumbar does get bigger, but as soon as I lean back, I can hear the air being pushed out of it until it deflates completely.

You guys mentioned they cover it under warranty? I'll have to call and check.

Do you have the partnumber or TSB it was replaced under? I wonder how new it is, since I'm on the third lumbar support and might need a fourth already..

Hope that helps.
