Sport Seat Discomfort...Help
Hi All - New owner/ site user.
2012 Countryman that I got this week!
It came with the sport seats.
I love the car, but the driver seat is making my upper legs/butt numb. The vertical side support of the seat pushes against my legs. I'm tall & skinny, so probably not fitting in as the engineers designed.
A simply cushion would 'level' the seat off, but I'm 6' 5" and don't have any head room to work with.
Any ideas? It's killing me. I wonder if I need to pay big bucks and downgrade back to the original non-sport seats? Hate to think of what that would cost...plus I'd lose my heated seat package.
Thanks in advance for ideas.

I've only had standard Minis, not Countrymen, but I can say that I used to have the same problem. But I found the cure was to carefully centre myself in the seat before driving off - so not just dropping down into the seat but shutting the door, and lifting myself up to sit absolutely straight and square. Tedious, but worth it to avoid discomfort.

In order to get Lounge Leather, you have to get sport seats too. They may not appear to be as aggressive as the leatherette ones, but they are. I have them in my Countryman. I've had 3 MINIs now, two with sport seats and one without. I actually prefer the sport seats, but that's the beauty of MINI - to each their own!

If you want to add a little bling to your interior, Go Badges makes something called a "seat wrap". Basically, it's a thin cushion that sits on top of the seat bottom and is held in place by a tab that tucks into the gap between the seat bottom and back. They come in Union Jack, BlackJack, Checker, and RedJack. I have them in BlackJack in my Countryman. They add a little cushion to the seats without interfering with the seat heaters, and I like the look. Plus, they protect my lounge leather from scratches.
